Leads production activities on an assigned shift, supervising 15–20 union operators and ensuring safe, efficient, compliant gelatin manufacturing. Responsibilities include shift leadership, KPI management, safety and food-quality compliance, deviation resolution, maintenance coordination, staffing, inventory coordination, cost control, continuous improvement, and production documentation. The role works largely autonomously on evening and rotating relief schedules while coordinating with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Warehousing, and Operations leadership.

Supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, KPI analysis, variance monitoring, and financial consolidation. Assists with accounting operations in SAP Business One, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, invoice processing, collections, master data maintenance, and audit documentation. The role also contributes to improving finance and reporting processes while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Deploy, configure, and operate security tools; monitor and investigate incidents; manage vulnerabilities; advise ICT teams; document processes; lead security projects; support continuous improvement and occasional Europe travel.

Process high volumes of supplier invoices, reconcile inter-company and supplier accounts, manage invoice queries and payments, record overheads and VAT, process debit notes, and maintain strong supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.

Lead month-end close activities, prepare complex journal entries and accruals, own reconciliations and financial analysis, support audits, strengthen internal controls (fixed assets), back up cash management, drive process improvements, and mentor junior accounting staff.

Provide regional technical support to expand market share for specialty fertilizers. Design and run field trials, engage researchers, support sales and marketing with technical messaging, train and troubleshoot for distributors and growers, monitor competitors, and translate trial results into practical recommendations.

Lead and transform procurement function: manage and mentor team, develop sourcing strategies, run RFx and negotiations, manage supplier relationships, reduce TCO, ensure supply resilience and procurement governance across plants.

Manage and dispatch bulk and packaged freight, coordinate with drivers, 3rd-party carriers, supply chain and sales teams, ensure DOT compliance and on-time deliveries, negotiate rates, route planning, investigate delivery issues, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Design and troubleshoot electrical systems for industrial chemical facilities: develop plans, perform short-circuit/arc-flash/power studies (ETAP), size equipment, review drawings and P&IDs, support plant startups and turnarounds, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Provide full administrative support to three Executive Committee members: manage calendars and meetings, organize travel, prepare and format presentations and documents, take structured minutes, support leadership events and HQ departments, and handle urgent ad hoc requests onsite in Brussels.

Support high-volume accounts payable across four business units: validate, process, and enter ~500 invoices/week (SAP VIM or SAP), respond to vendor/internal inquiries, reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, maintain vendor master data, support payments, reporting, audits, and process improvements.

Manage month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, customer credit evaluations, AR aging and collections, cash reconciliations, and financial reporting. Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Treasury and Finance to resolve disputes, optimize cash flow, support audits, and drive process improvements and ERP/finance transformation initiatives.

Support and lead HSE programs across multiple chemical manufacturing sites: conduct facility assessments, ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA), support PSM, deliver training, investigate incidents, prepare environmental reports, and develop emergency and environmental plans.
