Teams at Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury

Participate in governmental information systems audits by reviewing internal controls, records, reports, financial statements, data integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. Interns collaborate with audit teams, complete audit-specific training, engage in professional development, and present their summer accomplishments. The role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, with limited potential travel within the state.

Supports internal and external communications through writing, editing, research, content management, social media, photography, video production, media support, and event presentation. The intern creates stories, profiles, infographics, scripts, and social graphics; publishes content in Adobe Experience Manager; assists with press conferences and campaigns; and collaborates with communications staff and office leaders.

Supports Tennessee property assessors and statewide property tax administration by reviewing assessment records, verifying sales and mapping data, assisting with reappraisal programs and ratio studies, training local officials, conducting compliance audits, and maintaining relationships with local government stakeholders. The role requires a bachelor’s degree, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a valid driver’s license, and possible in-state travel.
