Develop and support Workday Finance systems, including configuration, security, reporting, integrations, APIs, data operations, SQL analysis, troubleshooting, documentation, and user support. Manage Workday environments and releases while building integrations with external systems. Support finance and HCM processes, advanced reporting, and data pipelines. Exposure to Workday AI Agents, AI Gateway, Power BI, Databricks, and agentic workflows is advantageous. The role requires Canadian work eligibility and clearance under the Controlled Goods program.

Designs and maintains Python and Pytest automation frameworks for APIs, web applications, microservices, and Kafka-based workflows. Integrates testing into GitLab CI/CD, executes tests in Kubernetes environments, manages reporting and defects with Jira and Zephyr, and collaborates with software and DevOps teams to troubleshoot issues. Mentors test engineers and helps coordinate test planning, prioritization, and delivery.

Coordinates PLM implementation activities, schedules, governance, action and risk tracking, stakeholder meetings, vendor commitments, reporting, dashboards, documentation, change management, training, and adoption. The role supports cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, operations, IT, quality, supply chain, and business teams while maintaining accurate project information and facilitating executive communications.

Provides senior technical leadership for User Terminal systems engineering across secure satellite communications programs. Leads CONOPS, requirements, architecture, interfaces, design trades, verification planning, integration, traceability, supplier engagement, and customer deliverables for fixed, mobile, airborne, maritime, portable, and autonomous applications. Mentors systems engineers and advises engineering and program leadership. The role is hybrid in Ottawa or Bethesda, includes occasional domestic and international travel, and requires Canadian Controlled Goods and reliability clearance eligibility for Ottawa-based applicants.

Leads spectrum engineering, ITU satellite filings, regulatory coordination, interference and compatibility analyses for GSO and NGSO systems. Advises on spectrum strategy, satellite system design, regulatory risks, and orbital rights; manages domestic and international submissions; represents Telesat in coordination discussions with operators, administrations, and regulatory bodies. The role also contributes to ITU-R and WRC processes, prepares technical recommendations, and provides senior-level technical leadership and mentoring.

Leads system engineering coordination for adapting a LEO satellite constellation and ground infrastructure to military Ka-band communications. Responsibilities include requirements traceability, trade studies, interface and verification planning, performance assessments, security and data-protection coordination, mission-operations integration, customer technical discussions, risk tracking, and reporting. The role requires technical leadership across multiple teams without direct people management and supports Canadian defence communications programs.

Designs and delivers learner-centered training programs, digital learning content, and sales enablement resources. Partners with Sales Operations and subject matter experts to simplify complex systems and processes, improve adoption, and enhance employee performance. Uses instructional design, adult learning principles, AI, automation, learner feedback, and performance insights to create scalable learning experiences and improve operational efficiency.

Develop and maintain system verification and validation plans for Telesat’s LEO satellite communication system. Coordinate system-level testing, create verification matrices and test cases, maintain test beds and lab setups, perform hands-on data-path and routing tests, configure test equipment, track defects, and collaborate with DevOps, ground systems, satellite teams, vendors, and partners.

Develops and executes Telesat Lightspeed sales and business development strategies across the Andean region. Builds relationships with telecom operators, service providers, government users, and strategic partners; manages complex proposals, negotiations, wholesale agreements, customer account plans, and sales pipelines. Collaborates with engineering, product, legal, and commercial teams to create tailored solutions, achieve revenue targets, and provide market insights to senior leadership.

Develop and execute Telesat Lightspeed sales strategies across Mexico and Central America, targeting telecommunications companies, mobile network operators, service providers, and government users. Build strategic partnerships and wholesale agreements, manage complex proposals and negotiations, achieve revenue and backlog targets, and influence senior customer decision-makers. Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, and sales operations teams while managing opportunities in CRM systems. Provide market insights to leadership and travel extensively across the region.

Designs, develops, validates, and optimizes C++ algorithms for Telesat’s Lightspeed System Model. Translates system requirements into mathematical models and software, evaluates constellation performance, supports integration and testing, and guides architecture decisions. The role includes technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, Agile development, code reviews, unit testing, and collaboration across satellite payload, ground segment, software, quality assurance, and systems engineering teams.

Coordinates technical development work across internal teams and external vendors for user terminal programs. Creates and administers Jira work items, boards, workflows, backlogs, dashboards, and reports; tracks blockers, dependencies, risks, actions, and milestones through completion. Supports Agile ceremonies, project schedules, meetings, documentation, status reporting, and program governance while ensuring work remains aligned with delivery, budget, and compliance objectives.

Leads end-to-end architecture and technical direction for mission-critical SysOps software supporting military satellite services. Defines scalable, secure, resilient, and deployable solutions across cloud, on-premises, edge, and hybrid environments. Governs APIs, integrations, data models, operational workflows, monitoring, automation, and system interfaces. Coordinates with engineering, cybersecurity, network, satellite operations, and program teams while supporting requirements traceability, architecture reviews, integration, accreditation, testing, and operational readiness. Mentors technical teams and communicates architecture decisions, risks, and delivery recommendations to leadership.

Contributes to Telesat Lightspeed’s connectivity product portfolio, initially owning Point of Interconnect and Internet connectivity products. Progressively owns value-added services including VPNs, SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, traffic engineering, QoS, resiliency, and security overlays. Defines product requirements, roadmaps, service constructs, SLAs, pricing inputs, and commercial frameworks while coordinating with engineering, operations, sales, cloud providers, data centers, and terrestrial carriers.

Develop and maintain secure, containerized satellite operations and control systems for Telesat’s LEO constellation. Responsibilities include software development, data analytics, automation, telemetry and command processing, system validation, procurement support, operational procedures, and anomaly response. The role provides shift and on-call support, collaborates across satellite operations teams, and contributes technical recommendations to high-assurance, air-gapped systems.

Leads verification and validation of Telesat Lightspeed feeder and user links. Designs and executes tests covering coverage, spectrum allocation, fading, interference, outages, link degradation, and end-to-end performance. Operates satellite-link emulators and RF test equipment, supports OTA testing and system acceptance planning, and serves as a link-layer subject matter expert for DVB-S2X, DVB-RCS2, and Ka-band systems. Collaborates with antenna vendors, modem teams, RF engineers, and distributed engineering groups.

Manages revenue accounting, billing, credit, collections, receivables, reporting, and related controls across Telesat and its subsidiaries. Leads a seven-person finance team, oversees revenue recognition for complex contracts, supports ERP and financial reporting systems, coordinates external audits, evaluates bad debt provisions, reviews reconciliations and journal entries, and partners with Sales and Marketing on collection strategies. The role also drives reporting modernization, including leveraging AI developments.

Supports systems engineering for LEO satellite user terminal products. Develops and maintains requirements, product documentation, architectures, traceability, verification plans, compliance matrices, and operational models. Coordinates with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, vendors, customers, and program stakeholders across design, integration, testing, and delivery. The role requires independent technical judgment, strong documentation skills, and occasional domestic and international travel. Work is based in Ottawa and requires eligibility to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods and Reliability clearance.
