Leads Manufacturing Science and Technology activities supporting biotechnology manufacturing, including technology transfer, manufacturing readiness, process troubleshooting, investigations, root cause analysis, process monitoring, continuous improvement, and GMP compliance. Manages MSAT staff and cross-functional projects while communicating technical risks, recommendations, and portfolio priorities to leadership. Authors technical documentation, supports regulatory and inspection readiness, and partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Development, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.

Develops and scales RNA and DNA oligonucleotide synthesis and purification processes from research through manufacturing transfer. Responsibilities include experimentation, automated instrumentation, assay and data analysis, process optimization, root-cause investigation, equipment qualification, quality documentation, SOP and batch record updates, vendor coordination, and training. The role collaborates with chemistry, engineering, quality, operations, software, hardware, and product teams to improve product quality, cost, margins, and production timelines.

Performs hands-on laboratory manufacturing of CRISPR guide RNA products, including oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, tubing, plating, inventory management, and operation of automated robotic systems. Follows SOPs, maintains equipment, monitors compliance, troubleshoots instrumentation, and documents laboratory activities in research-use-only and GMP environments.
