The Group Financial Controller will support monthly financial controlling, consolidated reporting, financial analysis, governance, audit coordination, and finance process improvements across a global organization. The role includes maintaining accounting and reporting manuals, supporting IFRS, CSRD, and sustainability compliance, advising finance colleagues, contributing to ad hoc projects, and becoming an expert in OneStream. The position requires collaboration with regional teams, Global Business Services, auditors, and senior management.

The role partners with managers and the European People & Culture team, managing sensitive information and owning HR initiatives from planning through implementation.

Lead complex disciplinary, grievance, absence, consultation, negotiation, and dispute-resolution matters in a unionised environment. Leads Svitzer’s global rewards and performance agenda, advising executives on compensation, incentives, benefits, mobility, governance, and performance management. The role defines global strategy and standards, adapts them to regional contexts, oversees end-to-end implementation, leads annual reward cycles and improvement initiatives, and manages a global team. It partners with regional and functional leaders to support fair, differentiated performance and reward decisions across sea- and shore-based employees.

Manage HSSEQ and marine standards for Svitzer’s Bangladesh fleet, crew, and shore operations. Responsibilities include maintaining the safety management system, ensuring compliance with OVMSA, ISM, MLC, and ISPS requirements, conducting audits and incident investigations, coordinating with flag and class authorities, managing safety initiatives and KPIs, reviewing operational risk, and supporting crew training and vessel standards.

Manages vessel defect reports in SERTICA, assigns work to superintendents and supervisors, verifies component classification, and supports crews and shore staff with system procedures and training. Prepares weekly defect, requisition, purchase order, component follow-up, and safety action reports. Ensures accurate maintenance documentation, supports MVR completion, and promotes safe, efficient, cost-effective processes while meeting contractual and company requirements.

Provides regional legal and commercial advice across multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating complex contracts, advising on tenders, disputes, governance, corporate transactions, maritime matters, regulatory developments, and legal risk. The role supports mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, joint ventures, and continuous improvement of legal processes across the AMEA region.

Hands-on Chief Engineer responsible for maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting high-power tug machinery during coastal towage operations. The role owns engine-room safety, vessel readiness, planned maintenance, spares, stores, and engineering records while supporting the Master and crew. The engineer works a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation while living onboard, managing faults under pressure and maintaining safe, reliable vessel operations.
