Provide frontline production support for Oracle, Sybase ASE, and AWS data systems in DoD and GovCloud environments. Monitor databases and pipelines, investigate alerts and tickets, resolve routine incidents, perform backups, patching, access provisioning, and health checks, and escalate complex issues. Troubleshoot applications, authentication, login, and basic NGINX issues while maintaining runbooks and incident documentation. The role requires rotating 24/7 support, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Administer production Oracle and Sybase ASE databases and AWS data services supporting DoD aviation maintenance systems. Responsibilities include database installation, patching, replication, performance tuning, backup and recovery, incident response, cloud modernization, security compliance, and troubleshooting authentication and application issues. Lead three mid-level DBAs supporting 24/7 operations, coordinate coverage, resolve escalations, improve runbooks, document systems, and mentor staff.

Own security infrastructure and automation for a mission-critical VA claims platform in AWS GovCloud. Build and maintain AWS and SaaS log pipelines into Microsoft Sentinel, GitLab CI/CD and Terraform infrastructure-as-code pipelines, security scanning gates, container release processes, and multi-account security baselines. Support zero-trust access, network inspection, compliance documentation, patching, and security tooling. Collaborate with security, cloud, architecture, development, and program teams to troubleshoot integrations and automate controls.
