Support project teams by collecting, cleaning, analyzing economic and demographic data, creating visualizations and reports, researching community development topics, and participating in stakeholder engagement and meetings. Interns will split time between client work and professional development, working 15–20 hours weekly and collaborating with staff in Pittsburgh.

Conduct desktop research, draft content (blogs, reports, social media), assist events and stakeholder interviews, and help document and communicate project impact. Lead and deliver specialist transport planning and development projects, providing policy, strategy, econometric, geospatial and traffic modelling advice to public and private clients. Manage project teams, bids, client relationships and commercial decisions. Communicate complex analysis clearly, support business development, and mentor junior staff (Principal level).

Lead and deliver high-profile sports and major events projects, manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, drive commercial performance and business development, prepare bids, ensure regulatory alignment and operational planning, mentor junior staff, and represent the firm at industry events.

Deliver technical due diligence for transport and social infrastructure projects to support financing, M&A and asset disposal. Perform technical analysis, risk assessment, financial/statistical analysis support, report writing and client presentations, contribute to proposals and business development, and support senior team to deliver projects globally.

Manage day-to-day CRM administration, improve data quality and governance, produce dashboards and analytics, support pipeline and forecasting, drive user adoption and behavioural change, coordinate integrations and process improvements, and act as liaison between commercial, operations, finance and external CRM partners to strengthen client intelligence and commercial performance.

Lead and optimize the business development pipeline: maintain CRM data integrity, coordinate with account managers and marketing, run pipeline reviews, produce forecasts and dashboards, prioritize proposals and resources, track KPIs, and support strategy to improve conversion and revenue outcomes.

Lead end-to-end proposal production: manage timelines, coordinate technical and marketing teams, write and edit narratives, run compliance and review processes, and produce final submissions (InDesign/Word/Google). Improve templates, content libraries, win themes, and proposal processes using AI to increase efficiency and consistency.

Manage and deliver high-quality financial modelling and project finance engagements, lead teams, cultivate client relationships, drive business development, manage commercial/contractual aspects, mentor junior staff, and ensure project controls, reporting and continuous improvement across energy and infrastructure advisory projects.

Lead and grow Steer’s UK transport Development Planning practice through business development, technical leadership, and client management. Win and direct large projects, ensure financial performance, secure framework positions, represent clients (including as expert witness), and mentor senior staff while managing stakeholder engagement and project delivery across public and private sectors.

Lead and deliver traffic and revenue (T&R) forecasting projects, manage client relationships, support business development, mentor staff, and provide technical review and project management for highway and related mobility transactions.

Lead and grow the Technical Due Diligence practice, delivering transaction-focused technical due diligence for transport, energy, and social infrastructure. Manage multidisciplinary teams, conduct site assessments, identify technical and operational risks, translate findings for investors, collaborate with financial and ESG teams, and drive business development and client relationships to win and deliver complex advisory engagements.

Lead transport planning workstreams for major developments, delivering highway and sustainable transport advice, managing projects, clients, budgets and sub-consultants. Prepare reports, lead stakeholder engagement, win work, mentor junior staff and contribute to business development while supporting professional development and chartership.

Lead and win financial advisory and transaction mandates for infrastructure and energy transition projects. Manage client engagements, draft teasers and information memoranda, run funding competitions, coordinate advisors, close debt and equity transactions, mentor junior staff, ensure project quality, support business development, and produce financial models and value-add analysis.

Manage complex client engagements in commercial advisory for energy and infrastructure, provide commercial and technical advice on renewables and decentralised energy, lead financial modelling and deliverables, build client relationships and proposals, manage project resources and quality, communicate risks, mentor junior staff, and support business development and practice-area growth.

Lead and grow Steer’s Rail & Transit Commercial Advisory practice by delivering commercial advisory components for complex projects, developing financial and O&M cost models, conducting due diligence, advising on P3 and procurement, and driving business development. Manage projects, mentor staff, build client relationships, and contribute to capability development and cross-selling across the firm.
