Lead engineering operations across five Midlands maintenance depots and a fleet of more than 350 vehicles, including electric buses. Responsibilities include safety, regulatory compliance, depot and equipment oversight, team development, supplier and stakeholder relationships, continuous improvement, budgets, KPIs, and regional EV transition programmes. The role also serves as a nominated Transport Manager on the Operator’s Licence and requires travel across Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

Fuel, wash, clean, and maintain buses at the Thurso depot. Responsibilities include topping up oil, coolant, and windscreen fluid; safely and orderly parking vehicles; following health and safety procedures; and supporting service requirements. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, teamwork, flexibility, and a full UK driving licence. This is a 40-hour-per-week position working afternoon and evening shifts on a five-over-seven schedule.

Ensure the safety of colleagues and bus station users while supporting punctual bus operations. Duties include assisting with bus reversing, identifying missing or delayed services, directing buses to correct parking locations, and ensuring pedestrians and colleagues use designated walkways and shelters. This is an outdoor role requiring year-round standing and work in all weather. Full training is provided, with optional basic engineering training.
