The role is customer-facing, leadership-oriented, and involves occasional travel to UK offices and worldwide customer sites.

Lead security for systems deployed in customer environments, overseeing secure configuration, patching, lifecycle management, customer assurance, audits, certifications, risk prioritization, and third-party security providers. Collaborate with product, engineering and operational experts to reduce friction and document UX decisions and acceptance criteria.

Design 2D and 3D geospatial visualisations and map-led UI for maritime surveillance products. Create wireframes, prototypes and polished interfaces; define cartographic visual systems; prototype with modern geospatial libraries; collaborate with product, engineering and data teams to ensure performant, operationally useful visual analytics and user-tested designs.

Lead end-to-end mechanical design and integration of ruggedised mobile surveillance towers from concept through prototype, testing, qualification, and production. Design structural, mechanical, and electromechanical installations and sensor interfaces, run design reviews and environmental tests, build and evaluate prototypes, coordinate suppliers, perform root-cause analysis, and support customer trials and deployments in harsh environments.

Design and build distributed, fault-tolerant Elixir/OTP services and LiveView applications to process and visualise live maritime telemetry and geospatial data. Influence platform architecture, improve deployment/observability, and develop scalable APIs and containerised services across cloud and on-prem environments.

Build resilient, distributed Elixir/OTP systems for sovereign-territory and maritime surveillance. Work on real-time telemetry ingestion, scalable APIs, LiveView front-ends, geospatial visualization, containerised deployments, and platform architecture improvements with a small experienced team.
