Build and scale full-stack web applications and APIs to visualize live sensor and video data. Full-cycle enterprise salesperson responsible for outbound pipeline generation, technical demos, pilot scoping, and closing deployments of Specter’s hardware+software video sensor systems. Engage executive and technical stakeholders, run pilot-to-scale conversions, maintain CRM and forecasts, provide product feedback, and travel regularly to customer sites.

Own reliability for a live fleet of Linux-based edge sensors and cloud infrastructure. Triage and recover field hardware, perform SSH-based diagnostics, build fleet management and OTA systems, implement observability and alerting, automate operational tasks, develop runbooks, and participate in on-call rotations to prevent and resolve incidents.

Design and build automated test fixtures and software (Python, Rust/C) for qualification and production. Drive design-for-testability, perform cross-domain debugging (mechanical, electrical, software), run reliability/qualification rigs, and own failure analysis and production testing to ensure units meet specs.

Design and optimize end-to-end wireless systems for long-range and multi-radio deployments. Build models, simulations, and automated planning tools; collaborate with RF, firmware, and software teams; lead field validation, interoperability testing, and deployment tuning for large-scale sensor networks.

Own end-to-end data labeling pipelines and vendor relationships, build annotation tooling and dataset browsers, define labeling taxonomies and QC standards, partner with researchers to design data collection strategies, monitor dataset metrics, integrate new data sources, and close the loop from labeled data to model improvement.

Build and own reproducible test infrastructure, CI for firmware/software, and fleet deploy/orchestration. Automate test benches, stand up rigs, create deploy tooling with rollback and visibility, and build internal automation and observability to keep the dev/test fleet healthy.

Own the reliability, scalability, and operational health of an AWS and Kubernetes-based platform supporting connected sensors. Responsibilities include production troubleshooting, incident leadership, infrastructure management with Terraform, automation, CI/CD improvements, observability, service-level objectives, runbooks, and post-incident reviews. The role partners with application, AI, embedded systems, and fleet teams and participates in on-call support.

Own end-to-end interview scheduling and candidate communication across virtual and onsite hiring processes. Coordinate interview logistics, facility tours, agendas, interviewer preparation, and candidate travel. Maintain accurate ATS records, post and manage open roles, and support recruiters and hiring managers with debriefs, pipeline hygiene, and weekly hiring reporting. Ensure a highly organized, positive candidate experience while managing many concurrent roles and scheduling changes.

Lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering, GTM, operations, and future teams. Build sourcing engines, structured interview processes, scorecards, and recruiting operations (Ashby, sourcing tools, analytics). Improve hiring funnel metrics, manage candidate experience, and shape employer brand through job descriptions and candidate messaging.

Lead and run engineering-facing operations: manage hardware test sites, internal deployments, field sustainment, IT and lab infrastructure, inventory/asset tracking, test operations, vendor coordination, and translate field findings into prioritized feedback for engineering and product.

Own and build the companys finance operating system: processes for spend, close, reporting, billing, vendor management, and financial hygiene. Partner on planning, forecasting, budgeting, cash visibility, and investor reporting. Increase visibility into production, R&D, SaaS, vendor, and operating spend. Create repeatable systems, work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and GTM, and drive ambiguous projects to define scalable finance and operations practices for a growing hardware and software company.

Build and scale Specter’s commercial operating infrastructure: enable pipeline visibility, forecasting, pricing, proposals, market analysis, dashboards, processes, and cross-functional feedback loops to make GTM motion repeatable and measurable.

Embed with customers to discover high-value use cases, lead post-sales discovery, coordinate sales/deployment/engineering to deliver solutions, and drive expansion and renewal by co-developing generalizable product features. This is a field role requiring in-person engagement, technical fluency across platform/ML/firmware/hardware, and the ability to influence product direction without direct ownership.

The software engineer will design, deploy, and scale distributed systems for our sensing platform, focusing on reliability, performance, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware and application teams.

The role involves designing ML pipelines for computer vision, optimizing models for edge deployment, and developing data management systems for sensor datasets.
