Develop custom systems for hypersonic flight vehicles, manage technical requirements, and participate in collaborative engineering efforts and testing activities.

Design, evaluate, and implement GNC algorithms for high-speed airbreathing and hypersonic vehicles. Develop and analyze 3DOF/6DOF simulations (C++), support trajectory optimization, build SWIL/HWIL test capabilities, and assist transition of guidance systems to flight while coordinating classified modeling and survivability analyses.

Lead performance assessments and trajectory optimization for high-speed airbreathing vehicles. Build propulsion models, run 3DOF/6DOF simulations, perform statistical and trade-study analyses, mentor junior staff, and communicate results to stakeholders to inform system design.

Design, develop, and evaluate GNC algorithms and 6DOF simulations for high-speed airbreathing/hypersonic vehicles. Support transition from development to flight, SWIL/HWIL testing, trajectory optimization, performance analyses, and coordinated classified survivability/employment studies.

Perform performance assessments and trade studies for high-speed airbreathing vehicles; use trajectory optimization tools (OTIS, QuickShot, Dymos), run 6DOF simulations, build propulsion models, analyze results statistically, and coordinate with design teams to inform system design.

Perform hand calculations and advanced structural analyses for high-speed airbreathing vehicles. Create and validate linear/nonlinear FEA models, write stress/fatigue/fracture assessments, develop Python/MATLAB analysis tools, lead structural/material testing and instrumentation, and support coupled thermal-structural work to deliver flight‑worthy hardware.

Manage general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statements; handle government invoicing (WAWF/PIEE), ensure FAR/DFARS/CAS/DCAA compliance; support purchasing, AP/AR, payroll entries, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and cross-functional financial reporting for aerospace programs.

Maintain and improve on-premises Linux engineering infrastructure: CI/CD pipelines, self-hosted source control and build systems, containerized applications, automation scripting, and system administration. Support security hardening, patching, monitoring, backups, and compliance efforts. Troubleshoot integrations with software and hardware teams, document procedures, and assist cross-functional IT, engineering, and security tasks.

Develop and implement detection, tracking, filtering, and image-processing algorithms for optical and infrared sensors on high-speed flight vehicles. Integrate algorithms into real-time simulation and hardware, create sensor and testing requirements, support laboratory and flight characterization, analyze sensor and flight-test data, and document designs and verification.

Design and test RF telemetry, communications, and antenna systems for high-speed flight vehicles. Perform link budgets, propagation analysis, antenna integration, hardware selection, lab and field testing, diagnose RF issues, support vehicle integration and flight-test operations, and own RF systems through implementation and documentation.

Design and take ownership of mechanical subsystems and full hypersonic vehicles. Perform preliminary analysis, trade studies, create manufacturing drawings, integrate subsystems, and ensure fit, functionality, and performance for flight and test.

The Mechanical Engineer I will design and develop mechanical components for hypersonic vehicles, manage prototypes, and ensure design optimization. Responsibilities include creating manufacturing drawings and collaborating across disciplines to meet performance requirements.
