Own the accounting function for a luxury custom home builder, including close, financial reporting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, cash management, controls, compliance, audits, lender reporting, and budgeting support. Lead and develop the accounting team, oversee QuickBooks and process improvements, and provide leadership with accurate profitability and financial insights for each home.

Owns full-cycle accounting for construction projects, including contract setup, job costing, progress billing, subcontractor payables, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, forecasting, collections, and financial closeout. Partners with project managers and superintendents across multiple active projects, supports audits and surety requests, and drives process improvements. Requires construction project accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Sage Intacct and Procore.

Owns full-cycle accounting for construction projects, including contract setup, job costing, progress billing, subcontractor payables, retainage, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, forecasting, collections, month-end close, and project closeout. Partners with project managers and superintendents, analyzes project performance, supports audits and surety requests, and improves accounting processes. Requires five or more years of project accounting experience, including construction experience, plus strong Excel and construction accounting knowledge.

Manage the full-cycle accounts payable function across affiliated construction companies. Lead and develop the AP team, oversee invoice processing and payment runs, maintain vendor and subcontractor compliance, reconcile AP sub-ledgers, support month-end close, manage 1099 reporting, strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and provide AP and cash-flow insights.

Leads budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, variance analysis, job profitability reporting, and executive decision support. Partners with the CFO, controllers, operations leaders, and finance teams to improve processes, systems, KPIs, dashboards, and financial architecture. Coaches and develops finance professionals while promoting analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement across construction-related entities.

Administers construction contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders while maintaining contract records and milestone tracking. Verifies subcontractor and vendor insurance certificates, endorsements, waivers, and coverage compliance. Coordinates contract execution, resolves insurance deficiencies, supports audits and project teams, and prepares compliance and risk reports. Requires strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving.
