Supports daily scrap-yard and steel mill operations by working alongside crews, coordinating tasks, maintaining workflow, and promoting safety. Assists with production projects, employee training, scheduling, and problem-solving. Provides acting supervisor coverage during absences or peak periods by directing crews and enforcing productivity and safety standards. The role requires hands-on work in a noisy, weather-exposed industrial environment with rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, weekends, and overtime.

Senior Accountant responsible for financial close activities, fixed assets, inventory, revenue accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, audit support, tax filings, leasing under ASC 842, budgeting, and accounting issue resolution. The role collaborates with finance, operations, and executive teams and requires strong Excel skills, accounting experience, and occasional travel to company locations.

Cuts scrap metal and vessel sections to specified sizes using a handheld torch. Inspects torches, hoses, filters, tanks, and work areas; verifies materials are safe for hot work; follows cutting procedures, PPE requirements, and scrap-yard safety protocols. Work occurs aboard marine vessels or in dismantling yards and requires physical tasks including climbing, lifting, crawling, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Must pass a physical examination and drug screen.

Oversee daily shipbreaking and recycling operations, leading unionized production teams in a high-risk industrial environment. Drive safety, productivity, cost control, continuous improvement, maintenance coordination, scheduling, reporting, and KPI performance. Ensure OSHA and company compliance, manage subcontractors and labor relations, optimize resources, and maintain strong field presence through coaching and operational oversight.

Supervise and coordinate ship dismantling crews performing torch cutting and scrap metal processing. Enforce safety procedures, PPE use, regulatory compliance, housekeeping, work permits, and cutting standards. Complete daily personnel and operational documentation, provide on-the-job training, coordinate priorities with other supervisors, monitor productivity KPIs, assess scrap materials, maintain cutting equipment, and occasionally perform cutting work. The role may require extended out-of-town travel.

Cut metal to specified dimensions using an oxygen/gas torch, inspect and maintain torch equipment, complete safety checks, follow OSHA and environmental standards, maintain PPE, and assist with yard and facility cleanup. The role requires working independently in a physically demanding, outdoor, 24/7 steel mill environment, including variable weather, overtime, and changing assignments.
