The Senior Accountant manages month-end and year-end close activities, fixed assets, inventory, reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, treasury support, tax filings, audits, budgeting, and ASC 842 lease responsibilities. The role partners with finance, operational, and executive teams, supports accurate financial reporting, and helps advance shared accounting services. Travel to company locations is required approximately 10% of the time.

Oversee daily steel mill service operations at the Burns Harbor site, leading unionized employees and subcontractors while maintaining strict safety, production, quality, and compliance standards. Manage staffing, schedules, maintenance coordination, costs, profitability, reporting, labor relations, continuous improvement, and KPI performance. The role requires visible field leadership in a physically demanding industrial environment involving rail cars, heavy equipment, and high-risk operations.
