Participate in a one-year accelerated training program covering retrofit equipment, technical product knowledge, and professional technical sales. After completion, manage an assigned territory, support representatives, and sell retrofit equipment to consulting engineers, municipalities, counties, and industrial customers. The role requires nationwide travel, customer relationship development, goal-oriented selling, and successful completion of four training stages.

Provides administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, and documentation for networks, servers, storage, applications, telecommunications, and end-user devices. Manages routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, web servers, backups, and security updates. Supports disaster recovery, system availability, infrastructure projects, technical documentation, and after-hours maintenance while collaborating with the Information Systems team.

Performs mechanical design tasks under supervision, including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, product testing, design changes, technical documentation, and manufacturing support. Assists with structural and hydraulic calculations using engineering software, supports production and quality teams, addresses product and application issues, and manages less complex projects. The role involves work in both office and manufacturing-floor environments.

Manage cost accounting operations and team; ensure accurate product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Liaise with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations to improve cost controls, support audits, and implement process improvements.

Prepare accurate engineering orders for municipal water/wastewater equipment, read and interpret drawings/specifications, coordinate changes with customers and internal teams, process order entry/MRP/OEI paperwork, support sales and manufacturing, resolve production issues, and ensure on-time, correctly priced deliveries.

Sell Smith & Loveless municipal pumping systems to cities, counties, consulting engineers and contractors. Manage bids, pricing, inquiries and submittals; provide technical application support; develop sales strategies and representative networks; monitor competition; coordinate with internal teams. Requires significant domestic travel.

Lay out, cut, fit, sub-assemble and install piping, valves, gauges, pumps and related equipment for wastewater pumping systems. Read blueprints and layouts, use hand and power tools, operate hoists/cranes, perform final assembly, report equipment issues, and follow safety and quality practices.
