Associate Counsel will support contracts, commercial agreements, legal risk assessments, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. The role partners with sales, compliance, IT, engineering, and in-house counsel while reviewing and negotiating SaaS, MSA, DPA, NDA, and vendor agreements. Responsibilities also include using AI-assisted legal tools, improving workflows, monitoring privacy regulations, and translating legal risks into practical business guidance.

Own planning and delivery for engineering projects across multiple teams. Build timelines, track milestones and dependencies, identify risks, facilitate planning and retrospectives, communicate status, and improve delivery practices. Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and technical leads to translate priorities into actionable plans and maintain clarity around scope, tradeoffs, and timelines.

Manage post-sale customer relationships for an assigned territory, leading onboarding, adoption, customer health, renewals, retention forecasting, and expansion opportunities. Partner with Account Executives, Support, Product, and Marketing to drive customer value, conduct business reviews, address risks, advocate for customers, negotiate straightforward renewals, and maintain accurate CRM data.

Own the full sales cycle for SMB accounts, from lead qualification and discovery through demonstrations, negotiation, and closing. Manage a high-volume pipeline, meet or exceed quota, maintain accurate CRM and forecast data, and partner with Marketing, Inbound Sales, Customer Success, and Enterprise Account Executives. Support successful customer handoffs, renewal continuity, and account expansion opportunities.

Lead Smarty’s Customer Success organization and own post-sale customer relationships, retention, renewals, expansion, onboarding, customer health, and time-to-value. Build scalable coverage models, processes, tooling, reporting, and implementation programs while hiring and developing Customer Success leaders and managers. Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to communicate customer needs, support feature adoption, identify growth opportunities, and provide data-driven visibility into customer health and risk.

Own the full enterprise sales cycle across an assigned territory, from prospecting and discovery through demonstrations, negotiation, procurement, legal review, and contract close. Build pipeline, achieve quota, forecast accurately, develop ROI cases, manage complex stakeholder groups, and expand accounts. Partner with pre-sales, product management, and customer success teams while maintaining renewal continuity for closed accounts.

Paid onsite internship supporting data acquisition and quality initiatives. Responsibilities include researching and onboarding data sources and vendors, validating and certifying datasets, tracking licensing obligations, building and maintaining data pipelines, automating data-processing tasks, and collaborating with product and engineering teams on data requirements. The role focuses on transforming messy location and enrichment data into trusted, structured product inputs.

Supports product research, roadmap planning, requirements writing, feature tracking, product performance analysis, go-to-market activities, training materials, and sales enablement. Collaborates with customers, engineering, UX, data, marketing, and sales while learning the product lifecycle from concept through launch. The internship is paid, onsite in Orem, Utah, and runs from January through mid-August 2027.

Supports CI/CD pipelines and production infrastructure, monitors system performance, responds to alerts, troubleshoots deployments, and builds automation scripts. Collaborates with development and operations teams to improve software delivery, configuration management, version control, and infrastructure security. The role requires Linux, Git, scripting, cloud orchestration, containerization, and monitoring experience, with opportunities to develop DevOps skills in an onsite environment.

Lead and scale Smarty’s B2B SaaS sales organization by owning sales strategy, team growth, pipeline forecasting, budgeting, sales processes, compensation, enablement, and revenue performance. Partner with executive leadership, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, HR, and Finance to drive predictable growth across address validation, geocoding, and data enrichment solutions. The role is onsite in Orem, Utah.
