Develop and review expert-level Rust code for resource-constrained embedded systems, including concurrency, reliability, performance, and Rust/C interoperability. Lead cross-team initiatives, improve hub-to-cloud synchronization and offline recovery, establish AI-assisted development practices, mentor engineers, and support observability, incident response, and on-call operations.

Leads B2B product marketing strategy for SmartThings Pro and Energy & Builder services. Responsibilities include market intelligence, positioning, go-to-market planning, product launches, user journey analysis, campaign performance reporting, thought leadership, sales enablement, partner co-marketing, mentorship, AI-assisted content development, and occasional backend account and license management.

Lead technical strategy, architecture, modernization, and operation of SmartThings’ distributed device and location cloud services. Own complex multi-team initiatives, design reliable and scalable microservices, guide AWS platform evolution, and support event-driven systems. Collaborate across product and engineering teams, mentor engineers, promote AI-assisted development, and share production-service ownership.

Lead technical strategy and architecture for SmartThings Hub Platform systems spanning embedded Linux, secure boot, firmware delivery, device attestation, cloud connectivity, and IoT fleet operations. Own complex cross-functional initiatives, guide reliability and security decisions, define AI-assisted engineering practices, mentor engineers, and participate in observability, incident response, and on-call support.
