The role requires native Swedish language skills, BankID, independence, and approximately 18 hours of work over six weeks.

Conduct functional and usability testing of Smarkets and BetSBK web and mobile experiences in Ireland. Test customer journeys including registration, deposits, betting, withdrawals, support, and KYC. Document bugs with reproduction steps and evidence, participate in live testing sessions, provide QA reports and recommendations, verify fixes, and assess product readiness.

Lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable backend services in Python and Rust. Architect distributed systems, improve reliability through monitoring and alerting, enforce testing and CI/CD best practices, and contribute to backend architecture decisions. Collaborate with product and engineering teams on complex projects, mentor engineers, and ensure the performance and stability of critical platform services.

Lead and build Smarkets' security engineering and DevSecOps program for cloud-native trading systems, ensuring regulatory compliance (CFTC), secure SDLC adoption (SAST/DAST/SCA), infrastructure hardening (AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, IaC), incident response, monitoring, and security automation while engaging with executives, board, and regulators.

Lead end-to-end product design for Smarkets' trading products: define product direction, create simple elegant interfaces, prototype and test quickly, run user research, enhance the design system, and mentor others to raise design standards across mobile and web.

Senior finance leader to build and run the finance function for a CFTC-regulated DCO and DCM. Own budgeting, liquidity and capital adequacy, forecasting, controls, regulatory filings, intercompany accounting, audits, and executive/board reporting. Establish systems and controls through licensing and scale operations while ensuring regulatory independence between US and UK entities.

Serve as first point of contact for customers across email, live chat and social media. Handle payments, KYC document verification, troubleshoot technical and transactional issues (deposits, withdrawals, logins), collaborate with teams to resolve customer-impacting problems, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations while delivering excellent customer experience.

Support the finance team by processing AP invoices and payments, reconciling bank and supplier accounts, monitoring cash flow, producing regulatory reports, assisting with monthly management accounts, journal entries, and audits, and handling vendor and staff expense queries.

Design, build and maintain responsive, high-performance web and mobile interfaces using React/React Native and TypeScript. Collaborate with Product and Design, translate Figma prototypes, implement monitoring/error tracking, write tests, review code, and improve CI/CD and engineering practices to deliver polished user experiences.
