Pre-register patients by verifying demographics, insurance, and copays; perform eligibility checks; identify primary/secondary payers; work in EPIC queues; liaise between business office and patient service reps; assist with PSR training and billing-related tasks while following SDMG policies and safety procedures.

Oversee patient check-in and front desk operations, ensure accurate patient demographics/insurance in Epic, maximize point-of-service collections, manage staff scheduling/training, handle registration error queues, coordinate with vendors (RTE, credit card, LabCorp), manage Medicaid ePACES enrollments, and support system conversions and policy development.

Provide on-site front-line helpdesk support: deploy, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, telephony and conferencing equipment. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, document tickets, perform equipment adds/moves/changes, maintain inventory, and occasionally work evenings/weekends.

Provide comprehensive medical care under a supervising physician: take histories, perform exams, order/review diagnostics, formulate diagnoses and treatment plans, perform therapeutic procedures (injections, suturing, wound care), counsel patients, assist in inpatient and surgical settings when required, handle hazardous drugs when applicable, complete OSHA training, and use EHR for documentation.

Verify coverage for injectable and infusion drugs, run reimbursement reports, review denials, assist patients with grants, research insurance policies for procedures and new services, respond to Medicare/Medicaid record requests, train staff, and present updates to Corporate Compliance.
