Pre-register patients by verifying demographics, insurance, and copays; perform eligibility checks; identify primary/secondary payers; work in EPIC queues; liaise between business office and patient service reps; assist with PSR training and billing-related tasks while following SDMG policies and safety procedures.

Configure, maintain, and support Epic applications and legacy practice management systems. Translate user needs into functional and technical specifications, assist with testing and training, run daily jobs, provide end-user support, and document systems. Participate in on-call, occasional travel, and OSHA/hazardous-drug safety procedures.

Oversee patient check-in and front desk operations, ensure accurate patient demographics/insurance in Epic, maximize point-of-service collections, manage staff scheduling/training, handle registration error queues, coordinate with vendors (RTE, credit card, LabCorp), manage Medicaid ePACES enrollments, and support system conversions and policy development.
