Manages hiring, development, technical strategy, architecture, engineering quality, reliability, and execution. Partners with Product, UX, and business leaders to deliver scalable customer-facing software, guide complex technical decisions, and balance business priorities with long-term technical excellence.

Supports General Assembly launch readiness, production quality, vehicle integration, and continuous improvement for base truck production. Investigates and resolves fit, function, sealing, noise, trim, fastening, restraint, and interface issues. Partners cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, production, and service teams on root cause analysis, containment, corrective actions, engineering changes, documentation, and process validation. Works primarily on the plant floor to improve first-time quality, reduce rework, and strengthen production robustness.

The role collaborates cross-functionally in a manufacturing plant environment and may require shift work.

Build and maintain performant, reliable customer-facing web and mobile experiences. Own frontend architecture, component design, state management, testing, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and production readiness. Supports supplier quality and performance throughout vehicle launch programs. Administers APQP, enforces supplier quality requirements, develops KPI scorecards, conducts supplier evaluations and audits, drives continuous improvement, and ensures tooling and parts meet quality, budget, and timing milestones. Partners with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and suppliers on technical drawings, GD&T, process issues, production awards, and supplier development.

Manage supplier tooling programs for molds, dies, fixtures, and injection-molded plastics from tool award through production runoff and PPAP approval. Track build milestones, conduct tool trials and first article inspections, evaluate dimensional and process capability data, drive corrective actions, maintain tooling assets, coordinate engineering changes, verify capacity, and support launch timing and budgets. Mentor supplier quality engineers and hold vendors accountable for tooling readiness and performance.

Owns the architecture, technical direction, and implementation quality of Slate’s React Native mobile application. Leads C++ vehicle communication modules, security and encryption, backend-for-frontend integrations, observability, CI/CD, OTA releases, and iOS/Android certification. The role drives architecture decisions, resolves complex native and vehicle communication issues, mentors engineers, and supports the mobile product through its general availability launch.

Administer Azure/Entra ID, Intune, SSO integrations, endpoint security, asset and software lifecycles, and enterprise IT systems. Resolve escalated identity and device issues, improve IT operations, maintain documentation, support compliance and access governance, and automate provisioning, access changes, device actions, and reporting.

Designs, deploys, maintains, and troubleshoots secure network infrastructure across office, manufacturing, R&D, IT, OT, and connected vehicle environments. Manages WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless networks, firewalls, segmentation, monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and network optimization. Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, maintains architecture and device documentation, and supports automotive cybersecurity and IoT connectivity requirements.
