Owns business development across government and defence, identifying, shaping, and winning complex opportunities from early engagement through contract award. Responsibilities include account planning, stakeholder relationship building, capture and bid leadership, commercial negotiation, pipeline and CRM management, forecasting, cross-functional pursuit coordination, and market representation. The role requires translating advanced technology into compelling customer propositions and maintaining strong networks across government, defence, and national security markets.

Drive enterprise revenue by identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing complex B2B technology opportunities. Build strategic relationships with senior decision-makers, manage target accounts and pipeline, develop customer business cases, and expand existing engagements. Collaborate with product, technology, delivery, finance, marketing, and operations teams to create commercially viable propositions involving AI, modelling, simulation, and digital twins. Develop partnerships, forecast accurately, represent the company externally, and provide market insight to guide product and go-to-market priorities.

Lead Skyral’s growth and go-to-market strategy across government, defence, and enterprise markets. Build and develop the Business Development organization, own pipeline management and forecasting, originate and close strategic opportunities, develop partnerships, and improve commercial governance. The role works closely with Product, Engineering, Delivery, Finance, Marketing, and executive leadership to align customer, product, and delivery priorities while driving predictable revenue growth.

Deploy, configure and maintain platform systems across MODCloud/D2S/OpenShift; manage Kubernetes, networking and security; build and operate CI/CD and GitOps pipelines; support simulation/training systems; apply SRE practices for observability, incident response and reliability; collaborate with integration, modelling and customer teams.

Maintain and operate a mixed platform of cloud-native and legacy systems for defence training. Deploy/configure on MODCloud/D2S/OpenShift, manage Kubernetes and networking, build CI/CD and GitOps pipelines, apply SRE practices (monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis), support simulation/training systems, and collaborate with integration, modelling, and customer teams to ensure reliable, secure platform operations.

Lead end-to-end platform initiatives, set company-wide technical direction, mentor engineers, improve developer tooling and automation (CI/CD, GitOps, IaC), run reusable components (Grafana, Istio, CloudNativePG), operate Kubernetes and cloud/on‑prem infrastructure, and bake security and observability into the platform.

Build, integrate, tune and maintain real-time simulation models for defence training systems. Implement behavioural, effects and environmental logic, ensure composability and interoperability (HLA/DIS/APIs), collaborate with integration and QA teams, and iterate models from validation and operational feedback.

Design and build front-end interfaces and integration layers that compose and run reusable simulation models, data, and services. Implement data mapping, transformations, configuration management, and real-time UI components. Diagnose and resolve cross-system issues, synchronisation and data mismatches while integrating internal, third-party and legacy simulation systems to create deployable training systems.

Lead verification, validation and assurance (VV&A) for models and integrated simulation systems. Define test and validation strategy, design and execute functional/integration tests and scenario-based validation, assess model fidelity and behaviour, produce traceable validation evidence and reports, support accreditation and link validation outcomes to versioned artefacts.
