Partners with plant operations, procurement, vendors, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and support financial accuracy.

Leads plant accounting and manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, standard costing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, variance analysis, and internal controls. Partners with plant and corporate leadership to improve profitability, manage costs, support capital planning, and drive operational excellence. Supervises accounting staff, maintains inventory accuracy, supports safety and food-safety compliance, and provides financial insight for manufacturing decisions.

Supports plant manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production and equipment issues, improving processes, reducing downtime and waste, enhancing reliability, supporting equipment startups, conducting root-cause investigations, maintaining process documentation, and driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supports pricing, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, accounting, and sales allowance administration. Partners with sales, marketing, department managers, and senior leadership to analyze initiatives, forecast account P&Ls, manage contractual credits and allowances, and produce volume reports and ad hoc studies. Requires advanced Excel modeling and strong analytical, communication, and financial skills, with experience in accounting or finance, preferably within manufacturing.

Supports manufacturing cost accounting and financial operations through standard costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, overhead calculations, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. Partners with plant teams and controllers, manages excess and obsolete inventory processes, prepares financial analyses, loads data into Planful, and assists with forecasts, audits, and reporting.

Develops, coordinates, and improves employee training programs in a plastic manufacturing environment. Oversees training for new and current employees, tracks effectiveness and training records, conducts continuous improvement training, coordinates third-party training, and collaborates with supervisors on shift-specific programs. Ensures training compliance, product safety, quality, and workplace safety while maintaining materials and auditing documentation.

The Plant Controller oversees manufacturing accounting and finance at a plant level, including inventory control, cost accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, standard costs, bills of materials, and SOX internal controls. The role partners with plant and corporate leadership, supports audits, participates in operational meetings, and supervises plant accounting clerks.

Manages product development engineering projects from quotation support through design review, project definition, tracking, and issue resolution. Evaluates new product development opportunities, coordinates cross-functional project activities, maintains project documentation, and communicates status and escalated issues. Requires hands-on plastics processing expertise, familiarity with container manufacturing platforms, statistical process evaluation, strong organization, communication, and project management skills.

Leads pricing strategy and execution for new business, renewals, price actions, and portfolio optimization. Evaluates customer, product, and contract economics; establishes pricing governance, controls, metrics, and approval processes; oversees contractual pricing execution and dispute resolution; and monitors financial performance. Partners with Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Legal, customers, and suppliers while presenting recommendations to executives. Manages and develops the pricing team and drives continuous process improvement.

Designs and develops tooling, mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes for plastic container manufacturing and new product development. Investigates material, equipment, and process failures; conducts feasibility and performance testing; develops test equipment and procedures; supports installation and troubleshooting; provides employee training; and facilitates problem-solving teams.

Manages human resources operations for a manufacturing plant, including HRIS administration, payroll, recruiting, onboarding, training, employee and labor relations, benefits, safety programs, workers’ compensation, compliance, and organizational development. Maintains Workday records and reports, administers policies and collective bargaining agreements, supports managers and employees, coordinates safety and training initiatives, and partners with union and site leadership.

Build and operationalize production-grade AI applications, including AI agents, RAG pipelines, intelligent search, automated reporting, and decision-support tools. Integrate AI with enterprise systems, databases, and APIs using Python, C#/.NET, and TypeScript. Implement responsible AI guardrails, LLMOps monitoring, evaluation, security, and governance. Mentor developers, assess emerging AI technologies, and translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.

The Corporate Quality Engineer audits and improves quality systems, process monitoring, and data collection across global manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include supporting product launches, developing testing and inspection protocols, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, applying statistical analysis and SPC, and driving continuous improvement. The role collaborates with suppliers, customers, product development, engineering, and plant teams while implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA, and ISO-based quality practices.

Manage plant human resources functions, including benefits administration, employee orientation, HR database maintenance, labor relations, unemployment hearings, safety coordination, and compliance with employment laws. The role supports a positive workplace culture, advises employees and departments, and ensures compliance with regulations including FMLA, OSHA, EEOC, immigration, DOL, ERISA, ADA, ADEA, and wage and hour laws.

Lead and mature Silgan's enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery program: define strategy, governance, RTO/RPOs, conduct BIAs, maintain DRPs/runbooks, lead testing and exercises, manage risk and compliance, coordinate cross-functional incident response, and report program readiness to executives.
