Leads the Oregon Chapter’s fundraising, staff and volunteer management, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, media relations, outreach, and coalition-building. Builds donor and community relationships, oversees environmental and political programs, supports equity and inclusion objectives, represents the Sierra Club publicly, and coordinates with volunteer leadership and regional staff. Evening and weekend work is often required.

Develops and implements Grand Canyon environmental campaign strategies, recruits and organizes volunteers, engages directly impacted and Indigenous communities, and communicates with media, public, political, and governmental stakeholders. Creates press releases, newsletters, flyers, and social media content while advancing equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives through partnerships and grassroots organizing.

Leads Sierra Club’s organization-wide grassroots organizing culture and capacity strategy. Oversees organizing methodology, training curricula, technology adoption, analytics, cross-departmental partnerships, team management, budgeting, and program evaluation. Develops systems and programs that strengthen chapters, staff, volunteers, and national campaigns while advancing equity-driven environmental and social justice goals.

Leads the Beyond Coal Campaign’s strategy, fundraising, donor stewardship, budget, staff supervision, partnerships, media representation, and national and local campaign planning. Develops equitable strategies to transition the power sector from coal and gas to clean energy, manages foundations and major donors, oversees campaign resources and outcomes, mentors up to six staff, and collaborates with internal teams, chapters, volunteers, elected officials, and external partners.

Processes incoming donations by sorting mail, researching and coding gifts in Salesforce, scanning checks, batching deposits, and coordinating with vendors, Finance, Foundation, Chapter staff, and volunteers. Tracks processing issues, returned checks, month-end balancing, reports, and performance indicators. Performs related data entry and special projects while providing customer service and procedural support.

Leads coaching and project management for a portfolio of Sierra Club chapters to strengthen mid- and major-gift fundraising programs. Develops and executes fundraising plans, advises chapter leaders and volunteers, supports grant strategies, coordinates with major gift staff, and cultivates relationships with external funders. The role may manage donor portfolios, facilitate cross-department collaboration, and oversee multiple chapter projects while maintaining donor confidentiality and advancing equitable, relationship-based fundraising.

Build grassroots power in Imperial County by recruiting and developing volunteers, cultivating community and coalition partnerships, coordinating environmental advocacy, supporting public participation, and advancing environmental justice priorities. The organizer will engage residents, Tribal and Indigenous communities, labor, faith groups, agencies, and other stakeholders; monitor local issues; support campaigns and communications; maintain organizing records; and report on engagement and outcomes.

Provide legal support for national environmental campaigns: evaluate proposed litigation, oversee the national docket, advise chapters, secure pro bono counsel, integrate legal tactics into campaigns, ensure equity in litigation, and assist as counsel in select cases during the second year under supervision.

Recruit, engage, and train volunteers and community partners across eastern North Carolina to advance Sierra Club campaigns. Plan and run outreach, education, events, coalition-building, and mobilization using digital tools and in-person tactics, track volunteer data, and support equitable, frontline-centered organizing.
