Leads the Angeles Chapter’s strategic, programmatic, financial, fundraising, advocacy, communications, and organizational development efforts. Advises the volunteer board, manages chapter staff, oversees budgets and fundraising, develops volunteers and partnerships, represents the chapter to public and media audiences, and coordinates with regional and national Sierra Club teams. The role requires grassroots organizing, coalition building, staff leadership, donor relations, advocacy communications, and environmental and social justice knowledge.

Leads Sierra Club’s social media strategy, identity, content, platform presence, audience growth, engagement, fundraising, campaigning, and influencer partnerships. Manages and develops a team of up to six, establishes governance and workflows, trains internal stakeholders, oversees vendors, and uses audience data, analytics, and reporting to improve outcomes. The role requires real-time responsiveness to news and trends, cross-functional collaboration, and occasional weeknight or weekend work.

Leads the Beyond Coal Campaign’s strategy, fundraising, donor stewardship, budget, staff supervision, partnerships, media representation, and national and local campaign planning. Develops equitable strategies to transition the power sector from coal and gas to clean energy, manages foundations and major donors, oversees campaign resources and outcomes, mentors up to six staff, and collaborates with internal teams, chapters, volunteers, elected officials, and external partners.

Legal interns support environmental and public interest litigation through legal research, factual investigation, written memoranda, public records requests, document review, discovery, and court attendance. They research potential litigation, collaborate with Sierra Club attorneys, and participate in legal team meetings. Candidates must be current JD students with exceptional writing, research, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills, plus an interest in environmental or public interest law.

Leads the Oregon Chapter’s fundraising, staff and volunteer management, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, media relations, outreach, and coalition-building. Builds donor and community relationships, oversees environmental and political programs, supports equity and inclusion objectives, represents the Sierra Club publicly, and coordinates with volunteer leadership and regional staff. Evening and weekend work is often required.
