Provides perioperative nursing care for pediatric patients in the operating room and Phase I PACU. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, circulating, IV starts, airway management, aseptic technique, equipment troubleshooting, intraoperative support, recovery care, family-centered care, mentoring, and evidence-based practice. The role requires collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, families, and healthcare teams, with no weekends, no nights, and minimal call.

Leads multiple healthcare IT projects from planning through delivery, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, changes, communications, testing, and stakeholder expectations. Coordinates with software vendors including Cerner, monitors project progress and expenditures, facilitates meetings, maintains governance documentation, and ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. Mentors employees on project management methodologies and processes.

Provides specialized pediatric orthopedic spine care, focusing primarily on complex spinal deformities such as scoliosis. Responsibilities include clinical evaluation, treatment planning, pediatric spine surgery, non-operative management, perioperative and inpatient care, rotating call, outreach clinics, documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement, and education or research. The surgeon will work within a collaborative pediatric orthopedic team and manage surgical and nonsurgical cases according to evidence-based standards.

Manages the hospital’s clinical research program, overseeing study operations, protocol implementation, participant recruitment and consent, data collection and protection, IRB compliance, financial tracking, staff training, and study progress.
