Supports the Chief Engineer in operating, maintaining, repairing, and optimizing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, control, and fire life safety systems across three museum sites. Supervises facilities engineering staff, assigns work, maintains records and procedures, manages spare parts, ensures regulatory and safety compliance, and responds to emergencies. The role is primarily hands-on, requiring extensive movement throughout facilities, equipment operation, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and occasional work across multiple locations.

Coordinates the Seattle Art Museum’s year-round film exhibition program across multiple museum locations. Manages technical rehearsals, film and digital media logistics, guest artist support, event scheduling, technical documentation, audiovisual quality, archival materials, shipping, inspections, and troubleshooting. Collaborates with projectionists, curators, A/V staff, distributors, filmmakers, and external partners while overseeing special technical projects and supporting public programs.

Leads infrastructure across three museum sites, administering Windows and Linux servers, Hyper-V virtualization, identity services, backups, networking, firewalls, wireless, monitoring, and security tooling. Owns disaster recovery, documentation, infrastructure projects, vendor relationships, server rooms, and on-call support. Mentors a junior administrator, builds institutional knowledge, leads cross-training, and ensures resilient operations while supporting museum applications, cloud migration, and technology initiatives.
