Leads execution of corporate IT projects and operations while providing hands-on technical direction and escalation support. The role sets design direction and improves complex, mission-critical applications for technical users.

Lead the design, testing, and maintenance of Ansible automation for deploying Defensive Cyber Operations kits to physical hardware and diverse environments. Automate networking, servers, operating systems, containers, virtualization, and applications while integrating STIG hardening, SELinux, cybersecurity controls, and CI/CD testing. Collaborate with software teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, parameterized automation, support technical demonstrations, and maintain engineering processes.

Develop and maintain the Zepharis web product suite across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers. Build full-stack features with Python, React, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and related technologies; troubleshoot local, CI, and production issues; architect schemas and migrations; document technical decisions; and mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions.

Lead the design and operation of secure, reproducible CI/CD delivery systems. Integrate security scanning and supply-chain controls, manage Nexus repositories, and establish release policies. Own packaging, signing, validation, and deployment into offline or air-gapped environments. Build GPU and VMware lab infrastructure for AI/ML testing, while advancing infrastructure-as-code, Linux administration, reliability, compliance, and operational maturity.

Provides onsite systems engineering support for mission-critical customer environments. Responsibilities include hardware and software asset management, repairs, patching, imaging, configuration, Tier 1–3 troubleshooting, testing, documentation, operational recovery, and deployment of Forge Services across physical and virtualized systems. The role supports Windows, Linux, servers, workstations, and network devices while maintaining system readiness, security, and continuity.

Design, build, and maintain automated test coverage and CI/CD quality gates. Deploy, validate, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads. Create Ansible playbooks, execute functional/integration/regression/performance tests, track defects and lead root cause analysis, and mentor engineers on quality engineering practices.

Lead technical delivery of a DoD cybersecurity program: perform systems architecture and hands-on hardware work, manage a distributed engineering team, drive defensive cyber research (TTPs), coordinate cross-functional technical activities, serve as senior customer technical interface, and support sustainment and capture efforts.
