Manage SEAKR’s independent research and development programs for advanced space electronics, translating technical roadmaps into funded plans and delivering projects on cost and schedule. Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams, radiation testing, capital investment support, compliance with federal funding rules, market alignment, risk management, documentation, and leadership reporting on budgets, metrics, technology readiness levels, and execution status.

Support satellite mission operations and payload integration/testing. Tasks include mission requirements management, system modeling and simulation, developing on-orbit procedures, running HWIL and STK, supporting payload passes in the Payload Operations Center, and executing mission operations under Systems Engineering/MO lead supervision.

Lead electrical design team for complex digital space electronics from specification through hardware delivery. Develop architectures and requirements, perform schematic capture, SI/PI analysis, PCB layout coordination, FPGA and embedded software review, hands-on lab debug, system integration, and environmental testing while leading technical reviews and customer interfaces.

Lead design and verification of RF front-end circuits, oscillators, and RF digitizers for space communication and signal analysis. Integrate RF hardware with FPGA DSP, perform EM modeling and lab measurements, support PCB layout, lead troubleshooting, mentor junior engineers, and interact with customers and project teams to meet requirements and schedules.

Design and verify complex FPGA/ASIC systems using Verilog/VHDL. Develop self-checking testbenches and timing simulations, use vendor flows (Synplify, ISE, Vivado, Libero), script with TCL/Python, lead small teams, perform RTL review and CDC/reset/clock design, and debug hardware with scopes and logic analyzers. Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support space/ radiation-hardened design practices. Requires 10+ years FPGA experience and US citizenship.
