Manufacturing Engineer oversees manufacturing processes, workflow planning, troubleshooting, and departmental process sustainment. Responsibilities include analyzing project requirements, estimating, design for manufacturability, process planning, procurement, shop drawing review, tooling and routing documentation, production scheduling, engineering and sales change management, schedule recovery, efficiency improvements, waste reduction, time studies, and production order accuracy. The role supports Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, and production teams while ensuring quality, cost, schedule, and vehicle specification compliance.

Provides administrative and operational support to the Sales Department by coordinating contracts, quotes, bids, bonds, insurance documents, visitor schedules, customer communications, and departmental records. Manages company store operations, including merchandise ordering, inventory, transactions, sales tracking, and month-end reporting. Serves as a professional contact for customers, vendors, fire service personnel, and internal teams while using Microsoft Office, Adobe, quote-writing software, and company systems.

Perform inspections of products in final processing stages and supplier/fabricated materials to ensure specifications. Use precision measuring instruments, follow FDA and HACCP standards, and document static and functional tests. CDL required.

Design and specify electrical components for custom fire apparatus: create harness schematics, develop BOMs, produce engineering documents in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, maintain revision control, support sales and manufacturing, troubleshoot electrical systems, and drive future electrical technology initiatives.

Develop and maintain quality SOPs, lead CAPA activities, perform audits/inspections, design tests and standards, train staff, and work with manufacturing and engineering to improve product and process quality.
