Support onboard safety by performing fire patrols, maintaining and testing firefighting and safety equipment, assisting with safety system checks, and supporting emergency preparedness under the Chief Fireman and Safety Officer.

Perform repair, maintenance, and large-scale covering of upholstery across cabins and public areas. Install wallpapers, carpets, and linoleum. Support inventory coordination, safety and hygiene compliance, and assist Deck and Furniture & Interior teams as directed.

Lead engineering operations onboard: ensure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of propulsion, machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems; perform fault-finding and repairs; manage PMS, spares and maintenance records; liaise with shore technical management; support deck operations and emergency response; operate winches and cranes when qualified.

Support the Chief Engineer with engine room watchkeeping, routine inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, lubrication, bunkering, spare parts control, recordkeeping, and emergency response to keep vessel machinery safe and operational.

Perform deck operations including knotting and splicing, hydraulic winch and knuckle-boom crane operation, anchor handling, towing, mooring, and dredge support. Maintain mooring and towing equipment, assist with watchkeeping, emergency drills, and vessel domestic chores. Follow safety practices and use lifting gear/shackles properly.
