Maintain and repair vessel mechanical systems, piping, engines, pumps and auxiliary machinery; perform welding, metal fabrication and fitting; keep engine room and workshop safe and tidy; manage inventory of engine stores and comply with SOLAS, MARPOL and flag state regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in galley, dining and living areas; assist with food preparation, serving, inventory, laundry, waste management, and provision stowage aboard ship.

Lead and manage the ships engineering department to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient vessel operations. Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, fuel and waste management, emergency response, regulatory compliance (SOLAS/MARPOL), and team development while balancing commercial objectives and safety.
