Assists with vessel deck operations, navigation, cargo and ballast handling, mooring, anchoring, and deck maintenance. Maintains equipment readiness and supports safe, secure, and environmentally compliant ship operations. Performs ropework, housekeeping, waste management, emergency procedures, hazard identification, and operation of deck machinery and gas monitoring equipment. Follows SOLAS, MARPOL, flag-state regulations, company policies, and onboard safety and security procedures.

Supervise the engine room team and ensure safe, efficient operation of ship engineering systems. Oversee maintenance of engine room equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, manage emergencies, conduct risk assessments, and maintain compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, flag-state regulations, and environmental requirements. Lead and mentor team members while supporting reliable vessel performance and adapting to modern technology and software.

Supports safe vessel navigation during watch, assists with cargo and ballast operations, and maintains life-saving and firefighting equipment. Ensures compliance with company policies, SOLAS, MARPOL, flag-state regulations, emergency procedures, and environmental standards. Requires effective bridge-team participation, reliable watchkeeping, clear communication, leadership behaviors, and proficiency with bridge equipment and onboard safety systems.
