26-week hands-on preservation trades internship at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Train in roofing, masonry, window restoration, chinking, tool use, and preservation maintenance while working with NPS staff. Physical outdoor work, safety-focused, and includes OSHA 10 training and a bi-weekly living allowance.

Seasonal placement supporting interpretation and education at Lake Clark National Park. Duties include visitor center staffing, co-facilitating junior ranger programs, curriculum development and delivery, public presentations, social media, and outreach. Work includes office tasks and physically demanding fieldwork in rugged, bear country. Cross-training and career-shadowing opportunities available. Position runs Aug 3–Nov 10, 40 hours/week, with housing provided and living/travel stipends.

Two members work as a team with NPS staff performing trail and trail-bridge maintenance and inspections across GWMP sites. The Urban Forestry Fellow will research, catalog, and inventory trees, assess invasive species, develop stewardship plans, and perform field work in collaboration with city departments and local organizations.

Serve at Kealia Pond NWR delivering visitor services and environmental education: greet visitors, provide interpretive programs and safety/orientation information, support visitor center operations, assist outreach and conservation projects, and develop interpretive materials while gaining professional development in interpretation, public presentation, and park operations.

14-week AmeriCorps conservation crew member living and serving in a five-person crew doing trail work, invasive plant management, campground maintenance, and agency support in Denali National Park. Duties include camping, tool use (hand and power), safety and risk management, public interaction, logistics, meal prep, and completing required paperwork and trainings. Physical work, camping, and background checks required.

Serve as a seasonal park ranger intern delivering visitor services, interpretive programs, and resource protection. Staff the visitor center, lead formal and informal talks, learn park operations, and assist staff projects while roving trails and overlooks.

The position involves conducting permit compliance checks, educating visitors on recreation safety, assisting in maintenance, and monitoring the wilderness area. Fieldwork may include river patrols and interaction with the public.

Three 12-month field intern placements performing habitat restoration and enhancement at Cosumnes River Preserve: fence work, invasive plant removal, tree thinning, seed collection, native plantings, trash removal, equipment maintenance, and habitat monitoring under BLM/partner supervision. Includes physical labor, occasional outreach, and data collection with FieldMaps/ArcGIS.

Serve as an interpreter and guide at Canyonlands National Park, enhancing visitor experience and safety while providing education about park resources.

Provide visitor services and interpretive programming at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park: greet visitors, answer questions, lead Junior Ranger activities, staff visitor centers, support special events, assist with facility security and education programs.

Assist the park's Ranching and Resource Management team with daily livestock care, barn tours, visitor engagement, fence and pasture maintenance, resource projects (tree care, invasive species removal, rotational grazing), and operate light vehicles and equipment. Provide customer service, interpretive demonstrations, and support other divisions as needed.
