Assist the Natural Resources Specialist with environmental programs, invasive species control, habitat management, data input, and equipment maintenance at Fort Leavenworth.

Manage logistics, safety, and administrative tasks for the New Hampshire Conservation Corps program. Supervise Project Leaders, Program Assistant, and corps members; coordinate project planning, tools, vehicles, training, and partner engagement; ensure compliance with AmeriCorps and partner requirements; maintain equipment, handle reporting, and support curriculum and member development.

Assist the Cultural Resources Specialist in maintaining compliance and documentation on historical sites, conducting research, and organizing records for Fort Leavenworth.

Serve at Kealia Pond NWR delivering visitor services and environmental education: greet visitors, provide interpretive programs and safety/orientation information, support visitor center operations, assist outreach and conservation projects, and develop interpretive materials while gaining professional development in interpretation, public presentation, and park operations.

Provide front-line visitor services at a national park: operate visitor facilities and bookstore, answer visitor inquiries by phone/email, lead guided programs and school field trips, maintain park libraries and government property, participate in community events, and support partner operations.

Support internal communications and employee engagement by creating and distributing internal newsletters and content, assisting with presentations and visual storytelling, organizing staff events, analyzing engagement metrics, and contributing to DEI and communications initiatives. Provide administrative support for communications projects and help improve internal information sharing and staff connection across the organization.

Six-month paid placement supporting public programs, special events, data management, evaluation, and strategic research for the Parks Conservancy. Duties include event coordination, registrant communications, survey administration and analysis (SurveyMonkey/CODA), report preparation, and cross-departmental collaboration. Emphasis on learning, community engagement, and nonprofit program development.

Assist planning, preparing, and implementing two wetland restoration sites: monitor contractor work, support volunteer events, participate in webinars, transport and plant wetland species, grow plants in a nursery, and document site monitoring. Part-time (20 hrs/week), local placement with outdoor field work in varied weather.

26-week immersive hands-on preservation trades placement focusing on carpentry, wood window restoration and fabrication, door installation, staining/finishes, trim work, and basic foundation/piling tasks. Participants train with NPS staff, perform tool inventory and light custodial/landscaping duties, and support public-facing site assistance while following safety protocols.

Serve as a seasonal park ranger intern delivering visitor services, interpretive programs, and resource protection. Staff the visitor center, lead formal and informal talks, learn park operations, and assist staff projects while roving trails and overlooks.

Provide visitor services and interpretive programming at Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park: greet visitors, answer questions, lead Junior Ranger activities, staff visitor centers, support special events, assist with facility security and education programs.

Assist the park's Ranching and Resource Management team with daily livestock care, barn tours, visitor engagement, fence and pasture maintenance, resource projects (tree care, invasive species removal, rotational grazing), and operate light vehicles and equipment. Provide customer service, interpretive demonstrations, and support other divisions as needed.

26-week hands-on preservation trades internship at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Train in roofing, masonry, window restoration, chinking, tool use, and preservation maintenance while working with NPS staff. Physical outdoor work, safety-focused, and includes OSHA 10 training and a bi-weekly living allowance.
