26-week hands-on preservation trades internship at Klondike Gold Rush NHP. Participants work on log cabin preservation, carpentry, milling, paint removal, rigging, and other historic preservation tasks. Work includes outdoor fieldwork, potential travel to remote Alaskan parks, tool maintenance, safety training, and interactions with the public. Shared park housing and a biweekly living allowance provided.

Three 12-month field intern placements performing habitat restoration and enhancement at Cosumnes River Preserve: fence work, invasive plant removal, tree thinning, seed collection, native plantings, trash removal, equipment maintenance, and habitat monitoring under BLM/partner supervision. The Urban Forestry Fellow will research, catalog, and inventory trees, assess invasive species, develop stewardship plans, and perform field work in collaboration with city departments and local organizations.
