Teams at SCA

Engage park visitors to prevent natural and cultural resource damage, provide education, identify concerns, use radios, and deliver public presentations. Support resource management, interpretation, visitor protection, and other park operations while working independently and with teams in hot, sunny coastal conditions.

Supports San Francisco Recreation and Parks urban agriculture sites through community engagement, educational workshops, volunteer event leadership, youth and adult group management, large-scale events, materials distribution, and record keeping. Requires outdoor work, driving, youth experience, urban agriculture knowledge, volunteer management, and community development skills. The placement runs from September 2026 through June 2027 with varying weekly hours and provided living accommodations.

Mentor and supervise youth in the Greenager environmental stewardship program. Responsibilities include leading outdoor recreational trips, developing environmental education curricula, coordinating volunteer events and park projects, planning an eight-month agenda, facilitating partner meetings, recruiting and interviewing youth participants, and tracking budgets and vendor payments. The role requires outdoor work, youth leadership experience, a valid California driver's license, and a one-year, 20-hour-per-week commitment.
