26-week hands-on preservation trades internship at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Train in roofing, masonry, window restoration, chinking, tool use, and preservation maintenance while working with NPS staff. Physical outdoor work, safety-focused, and includes OSHA 10 training and a bi-weekly living allowance.

Seasonal placement supporting interpretation and education at Lake Clark National Park. Duties include visitor center staffing, co-facilitating junior ranger programs, curriculum development and delivery, public presentations, social media, and outreach. Work includes office tasks and physically demanding fieldwork in rugged, bear country. Cross-training and career-shadowing opportunities available. Position runs Aug 3–Nov 10, 40 hours/week, with housing provided and living/travel stipends.

Two members work as a team with NPS staff performing trail and trail-bridge maintenance and inspections across GWMP sites. Duties include bridge/boardwalk decking and railing replacement, pavement and structural repairs, vegetation cutback, and supporting the Trails Supervisor. Work is physical, outdoors, and full-time for the seasonal term.
