Supports the grants program through funder research, opportunity prioritization, proposal writing, application submission, and grant reporting. Develops outcome-focused narratives using program metrics, maintains the grants calendar, tracks deadlines and results, and collaborates with development and program teams. The role is primarily remote and part-time, with periodic on-site meetings and occasional schedule flexibility.

Builds and manages church partnerships for the San Diego Rescue Mission by developing engagement strategies, coordinating volunteer and service opportunities, cultivating financial support, and retaining donors. Represents the Mission at churches and community events, tracks partnership metrics in Virtuous CRM, and leads the Church Partnerships Coordinator. The role also provides spiritual leadership, integrates Christian values into relationship management, and supports trauma-informed, client-centered practices.

Manage the organization’s full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, aging, reconciliations, expense reporting, and cash planning. Support month-end close, accruals, limited accounts receivable, 1099 reporting, audits, government contract compliance, and internal controls. Maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with departments across the nonprofit.

Supervises Community Life Ambassadors and coordinates shelter shift operations, staff coverage, emergency responses, inspections, meal distribution, and client health appraisals. Provides trauma-informed client support, oversees program compliance and activities, manages crisis situations, maintains documentation, assists with staff onboarding and training, and collaborates with volunteers and community partners. The role also supports conflict resolution, administrative duties, and the organization’s faith-based mission.

Develops and executes digital storytelling strategy for San Diego Rescue Mission. Produces short-form videos from concept through publication, including filming, interviewing, editing, color correction, captioning, and platform optimization. Creates content for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, events, campaigns, and fundraising. Uses analytics to improve performance, maintains media assets, and ensures ethical storytelling that respects the dignity and privacy of vulnerable populations.
