Teams at San Diego Rescue Mission

Writes and submits approximately 3–4 grant applications monthly, researches and prioritizes funders, develops outcome-focused narratives, maintains the grants calendar, tracks awards and reporting deadlines, and collaborates with program leaders and development staff. The role is primarily remote with periodic on-site meetings and supports program, general operations, and capital campaign funding.

Manage daily accounting operations, month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, audit support, and compliance. Supervise accounting staff, review accounts payable and payment processing, guide expense coding, and support process improvement initiatives. The role requires strong nonprofit accounting knowledge, analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and leadership experience.

Builds and manages church partnerships for the San Diego Rescue Mission by developing engagement strategies, coordinating volunteer and service opportunities, cultivating financial support, and retaining donors. Represents the Mission at churches and community events, tracks partnership metrics in Virtuous CRM, and leads the Church Partnerships Coordinator. The role also provides spiritual leadership, integrates Christian values into relationship management, and supports trauma-informed, client-centered practices.
