Authors and maintains system-level requirements, allocates and traces downstream requirements, and prepares systems engineering deliverables for design reviews and customer submissions. Maintains verification traceability, test evidence, certification packages, and Integrated Master Schedule work items. Facilitates engineering reviews, tracks action items, coordinates systems with hardware, software, and mechanical teams, and identifies integration risks.

Owns electronics category strategy and supplier selection for PCBAs, connectors, power supplies, motor drives, and related assemblies. Leads sourcing, negotiations, supplier risk mitigation, obsolescence management, quality corrective actions, inventory agreements, market monitoring, and make-or-buy analysis. Partners with engineering, program management, and quality while ensuring AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and counterfeit-parts compliance.

Owns the mechanical supply base for actuator product lines, including sourcing precision components and raw materials. Leads supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, NPI procurement, supplier qualification, audits, cost modeling, corrective actions, and long-term agreements. Partners with engineering on material selection, supports make-or-buy and capacity planning, and ensures compliance with AS9100, ITAR/EAR, traceability, and certification requirements.

Own safety and reliability engineering across the aerospace product lifecycle, including hazard analysis, fault analysis, requirements allocation, reliability modeling, verification traceability, and certification documentation. Lead FHA, PSSA, SSA, FTA, FMEA, and FMES activities; develop MTBF predictions and reliability models; support PDR and CDR; and coordinate with hardware, software, mechanical engineering teams, FAA DERs, and airframe customers on FAA and EASA certification programs.

Plan, write, and execute electrical qualification and acceptance tests for power electronics and LRUs. Develop DO-160G and MIL-STD-810H test plans/reports, build test setups and DAQ configurations, execute and analyze EMI/EMC and electrical performance testing, manage outsourced lab testing and witness customer tests, and drive root-cause/corrective actions with design and firmware teams.

Responsible for the design integrity of precision motion control products. Tasks include approving drawings, evaluating changes, ensuring compliance, and providing technical guidance.

Lead and own the mechanical engineering function for precision electromechanical actuators from concept through qualification and production. Serve as technical authority for mechanical designs, enforce aerospace standards, lead qualification campaigns and design reviews, mentor and hire engineers, drive DFM/DFA and supplier partnerships, and define mechanical technology roadmap and engineering processes.

Hands-on Quality Manager to own and mature the AS9100 QMS: lead internal/external audits, CAPA, MRB, supplier and production quality, FAI/AS9102 inspections, counterfeit parts control, calibration, and readiness for FAA/EASA production approval milestones while tracking quality metrics and training.

Lead full-lifecycle design and qualification of rugged electromechanical flight hardware: convert mission needs to requirements, design electromagnetic actuators and precision mechanisms, develop rugged avionics enclosures with thermal and structural survivability, architect DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 qualification testing, lead cross-functional integration, manage suppliers and quality, and personally assemble, test, and debug prototypes.

Lead full-cycle recruiting for core engineering roles (hardware, embedded, controls, mechanical, robotics, software). Act as the senior on-site recruiting owner, partner with engineering leadership on role scoping and sourcing, manage candidate experience through closing, build hiring processes and metrics, and navigate ITAR-related compliance in coordination with Legal/People.

Provide high-level support to the CEO and COO by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings and travel, drafting communications, preparing leadership and board materials, tracking action items, liaising with stakeholders, handling confidential information, and managing special projects to streamline executive workflows.

Own full accounting function for an aerospace/defense manufacturer: month-end close, cost accounting, FAR/DFARS compliance, DCAA audit readiness, AP/AR and cash management, budgeting support, internal controls, audit/tax coordination, and accounting systems/process improvements.

Lead the design and integration of high-power power conversion hardware for aerospace, including architecture decisions, prototype testing, and collaboration with various teams.

Design production hardware, test equipment, and electromechanical systems from concept to production. Develop design requirements across the organization, select and manage contract manufacturers, and work with PCBAs and electronics enclosures. Use CAD (NX or similar), apply DFM and GD&T to ensure manufacturability.

The role involves creating detailed drawings for manufacturing using CAD tools, ensuring proper tolerances, and optimizing designs for fabrication in aerospace and automotive fields.

Develop embedded firmware in C for STM32 microcontrollers, bring up and debug hardware, work with RTOS and communication peripherals, support motor and actuator verification, and collaborate on board-level debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD tools. Majority on-site in Torrance, CA.

Design and document electrical hardware and PCBs, select components and instrumentation, develop manufacturing and test work instructions, execute design verification tests, analyze test data and recommend product/process changes, and participate in hiring interviews.
