Designs and develops enterprise Appian solutions for DoD programs, including process models, integrations, ETL workflows, database structures, security controls, and ATO support. Translates stakeholder requirements into technical designs, troubleshoots complex issues, participates in Agile ceremonies, conducts reviews, presents solutions, and mentors junior developers. The role also leverages Appian AI/ML capabilities and supports secure, compliant digital engineering environments.

Provides multi-channel help desk support for AF-PLM users, including account setup, access requests, permissions troubleshooting, issue escalation, user communications, and account validation. Maintains procedures and technical documentation, generates help desk and access reports, and uses advanced Excel and VBA to automate analysis. The role also supports development teams and coordinates with cloud providers to maintain security-compliant access.

Analyze systems-level engineering problems involving requirements, interfaces, data flows, tools, workflows, and integration. Support interoperability across digital engineering environments, including MBSE, PLM, requirements management, CAD, and technical data systems. Develop technical artifacts, conduct trade studies, engage customers and subject-matter experts, and drive ambiguous technical issues toward resolution. The role requires strong systems thinking, analytical ability, communication skills, and the capacity to learn unfamiliar engineering domains quickly.

Own the technical side of defense business development, including customer discovery, solution architecture, proposal strategy, technical capture, executive briefings, and post-award transition. Conduct competitive intelligence, shape RFIs and RFPs, author technical materials, translate mission needs into product requirements and architectural roadmaps, and support pricing and go-to-market planning. Requires strong systems engineering, digital engineering, defense-sector customer engagement, and technical communication experience.

Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and Scrum of Scrums across multiple Agile teams. Leads PI and release planning, backlog refinement, estimation, sprint metrics, retrospectives, defect triage, and quality assurance activities. Partners with Product Owners, Government stakeholders, engineers, and architects to align delivery with DoD requirements, security testing, governance, and release milestones. Maintains Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr tracking while supporting onboarding, integration, and operational transitions.

Leads USAF business development, owning the opportunity pipeline, account strategy, early opportunity shaping, capture transitions, teaming, bid decisions, proposal content, and portfolio growth. Builds relationships across Air Force commands and program offices, provides market intelligence, leads selected captures, and reports pipeline and pursuit status to executives. Requires deep knowledge of Air Force digital engineering, sustainment modernization, acquisition pathways, contracting vehicles, and defense industry partnerships.

The role requires onsite work two to three days weekly at Wright-Patterson or Hill AFB.

Lead and build a scalable capture function for DoD pursuits: create processes, tools, team structure, and metrics; run end-to-end capture for high‑priority opportunities, develop win strategies, conduct competitive analysis and Black/White Hat exercises, and align capture efforts with BD, technical SMEs, proposals, pricing, contracting, and leadership.

Lead end-to-end proposal efforts for complex DoD/federal opportunities: manage schedules, compliance, writing (non-technical volumes), graphics, version control, reviews, and cross-functional coordination while mentoring junior staff and supporting capture activities.

Implement, install, configure, and customize Teamcenter/TCRA solutions. Translate business requirements into technical designs, lead architecture for product-domain solutions, support project management, develop reports/dashboards, and guide customers through deployment and post-production support.

Lead capture lifecycle for federal and defense opportunities: develop win strategies, perform competitive and price-to-win analysis, manage teaming and customer engagement, coordinate proposal inputs, run gate reviews, and track capture progress to win complex engineering contracts.
