The intern will collaborate with simulation engineers, software developers, AI specialists, and users to translate operational needs into software features for offshore and dredging projects.

Manage contract lifecycle for marine support services, ensuring contractual compliance, client relationships, operational safety, staff development, and financial performance. Monitor KPIs, conduct performance reviews, support budgeting and reporting, and ensure regulatory and SHEQ compliance.

Support SMIT Salvage communications by translating sustainability and operational topics into clear content (articles, newsletters, social media, case studies), gathering stories from colleagues, developing content calendars and communication strategies, identifying channels, creating creative concepts, and contributing to both daily communication tasks and longer-term sustainability visibility efforts.

Support the corporate Learning & Development team by creating and structuring digital learning modules: develop storyboards, texts, visuals, and interactive elements; advise on engagement and adaptivity; collaborate with subject-matter colleagues and participate in L&D projects to improve learning solutions.

Supervise offshore ROV operations, pilots, and technicians during assigned shifts. Ensure safe, compliant execution of subsea inspection, survey, maintenance, tooling deployment, and light intervention activities. Review work packs and readiness checks, monitor system telemetry and video feeds, provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with shore-based teams, and escalate operational risks. The role requires leadership in dynamic offshore environments and compliance with IMCA and company competence standards.

Conduct a graduation research project to improve Boskalis’s machine-learning recommendations for dredging vessel operations. Review physics-informed machine learning, time-series modelling, and adaptive control methods; formulate models combining physical knowledge with data; train and evaluate improvements using historical data; assess generalization across vessels and conditions; and report reproducible findings. The intern will collaborate with data scientists and multidisciplinary engineers and use Python, version control, and Databricks.

The Senior Production Engineer calculates and analyzes dredging equipment deployment, prepares production budgets and tender estimates, coordinates tender activities, and advises on equipment modifications and vessel construction. The role monitors production processes on international projects, transfers tender knowledge to project teams, visits project sites, optimizes dredging operations, develops engineering expertise, and coaches junior Production Engineers.

Oversee day-to-day yard and warehouse operations with emphasis on security, safety, inventory control, and equipment certification. Coordinate logistics for vessels and projects, manage tenant and driver relations, ensure proper packing, storage, documentation (Yellowstar/InforLN), and implement sustainability and maintenance programs.

Lead and supervise offshore ROV operations using Saab Seaeye and Kystdesign systems. Ensure safety and IMCA compliance, conduct pre-dive checks and risk assessments, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot faults, maintain dive logs and technical records, liaise with vessel and client, and develop team competence.

Site-based SHEQ Coordinator supporting quayside operations in Waalhaven. Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal SHEQ standards, perform safety walks, site inductions, inspections, incident reporting and investigations, risk register maintenance, audits, and provide SHEQ input for vessel repairs. Work closely with supervisors, crews, subcontractors and Site Manager to promote safe behaviours and continuous improvement.

Design, build, test, document, and maintain survey software for hydrographic surveyors. Identify requirements, implement data processing and visualization solutions (often C++/Linux), collaborate with stakeholders, and occasionally travel for deployments.

Maintain and repair vessel machinery and electrical equipment, perform inspections and planned maintenance, carry out pre-departure checks, manage fuel transfers and engine room records, follow safety and environmental procedures, hand over duties, and perform GP Rating duties onboard project vessels around the UK and Ireland.

Support group-level tax reporting, accounting and compliance: calculate and review current and deferred tax, effective tax rate analysis, tax disclosures, Pillar Two/GloBE reporting, coordinate with local teams and advisors, and improve tax accounting processes, controls and documentation.

Lead contract administration and provide commercial and contractual support across complex international maritime and civil engineering projects. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, variation orders and claims; maintain progress reports and correspondence; collaborate with project teams, insurance, procurement and legal counsel; and mentor Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
