Lead Rowden’s US commercial expansion: convert products into funded contracts and partnerships, own end-to-end opportunity lifecycle (SBIR/OTA/PPBE), manage capture and negotiations, build relationships with primes/OEMs and government stakeholders, feed market insight into product roadmap, and support US hiring, facilities, and compliance.

Own the Dovetail product roadmap for Edge Manager and Edge Node, translate integration and security requirements into precise epics/stories, make architectural trade-offs with engineering, mentor other Product Owners, manage stakeholder priorities, run Agile ceremonies, and act as primary contact for system integrators and hardware partners.

Provide technical leadership and architecture for defence-focused edge systems. Translate ambiguous customer problems into deliverable solutions for bids and delivery, ensure supplier assurance, assess hosting/integration options, manage technical risk, produce high-quality bid content, and support mobilisation and governance for consistent delivery.

Provide technical leadership for solution design and assurance across pre-sales and delivery. Translate ambiguous customer needs into costed, deliverable architectures for sensing, AI, communications and edge environments; assess hosting, integration and platform options; manage technical risks; produce bid and governance artefacts; engage stakeholders and support contract mobilisation to ensure coherent end-to-end delivery.

Lead software test design, execution and reporting across complex, hardware‑integrated systems. Create risk‑based test approaches, drive automated testing, support release and acceptance decisions, influence test strategy and governance, and mentor junior testers while working within agile, multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, traceable quality for mission‑critical products.

Design and deliver analogue and mixed-signal RF hardware for sensing and communications systems. Responsibilities include RF front-end architecture, multi-layer RF PCB design, ADC/DAC integration, hardware bring-up and validation, RF performance analysis, lab testing, and cross-disciplinary integration with FPGA, embedded software and signal-processing teams.

Lead definition and delivery of Rowden's internal developer platform: architecture, self-service provisioning, CI/CD, IaC, observability, API-first integration, agentic AI runtimes, and secure-by-design practices. Own platform governance, reusable components, automation, and mentoring to improve developer experience and scalability across cross-functional teams.

Lead and operate Rowden's multi-site workplace estate, managing facilities, reception and operations teams, health and safety systems, and physical security. Define requirements and project-manage new builds and expansions, coordinate with IT and cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure sites are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose to support the companys growth.

Build and maintain the internal developer platform: self-service infrastructure, CI/CD, API-first integrations, observability, IaC automation, security-by-design, and tooling to improve developer experience and support cross-functional teams.

Manage mission-critical engineering projects end-to-end: coordinate delivery, stakeholders, budgets, risks, compliance and documentation. Drive timely, on-budget outcomes, define KPIs, ensure quality, and foster cross-functional relationships while supporting change management and strategic discussions.

Lead high-impact, cross-functional operations and strategy projects to scale engineering capabilities. Collate data, build and execute data-driven plans, design repeatable systems, and work with engineering, product, commercial, and delivery teams. Must be eligible for SC clearance.

Lead design and delivery of end-to-end ML systems from R&D to production, often on edge/embedded hardware. Own data pipelines, model training, deployment (CI/CD/MLflow), monitoring, and iteration. Provide technical leadership, mentor teammates, set engineering standards, and collaborate across software, systems and product teams. Implement MLOps/LLMOps, reproducible pipelines, model versioning, and safety/observability practices.

Join a hybrid Bristol-based engineering team designing, integrating, and delivering robust systems for degraded or denied operational environments. Responsibilities include translating user needs and CONOPS into requirements, applying systems engineering lifecycles, leading integration and architecture tasks, assessing trade-offs and risks, ensuring safety/security compliance, and mentoring junior engineers. SC clearance eligibility required.

Develop and run RF test strategies, perform hands-on lab measurements, automate test setups (typically in Python), characterise RF system performance, support hardware bring-up, analyse results, produce test documentation, and collaborate across RF, hardware, software, and QA teams to ensure repeatable validation for product releases.

Join a defence-focused engineering team to deploy, support and integrate mission-critical C4ISR, autonomous and communications systems. Roles include field service, capability integration, DevSecOps, cloud engineering (AWS) and product ownership. Work directly with end users to configure systems, run field training, gather requirements, feed back to engineering, and prioritise development for constrained, mission-critical environments.

Senior hands-on infrastructure lead responsible for architecture, design, deployment and assurance of resilient, secure cloud-to-edge infrastructure. Lead technical decision-making, implement IaC, automation, monitoring, HCI and networking solutions, mentor engineers, and ensure operational resilience for defence and regulated environments.

Contribute to safety engineering across the system lifecycle: requirements, architecture, integration, verification and validation. Perform safety analyses (FMEA, HAZOP, BowTie), produce safety documentation and safety cases, support safety strategy, engage stakeholders, and improve safety practices. Senior hires lead strategy, manage work packages, mentor others, and represent safety at programme and customer reviews.

Build a speculative talent pipeline for RF engineers to support communications, sensing, DSP, SDR, FPGA, and RF hardware development. Work in multidisciplinary teams to design, prototype, simulate, validate, and automate testing of RF subsystems for defence and resilience applications, while meeting security clearance eligibility requirements.

Join Rowden's Infrastructure/DevOps team to build and manage cloud and on-prem platforms, automate infrastructure with IaC, deploy versioned containers to orchestration services, support networks/security/databases, partner with developers on CI/CD and testing, and collect metrics for performance tuning and fault finding. SC clearance eligibility required.
