Fabricates and assembles structural metal and aluminum components for fire apparatus. Operates brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses; cuts, bends, aligns, fits, and welds parts. Constructs templates and fixtures, performs grinding and straightening, verifies work against specifications, reads blueprints, and follows safety procedures. The role requires physical work, frequent standing, lifting, climbing, bending, and use of personal protective equipment.
