Coordinates Catholic religious education for elementary and middle school students. Responsibilities include developing faith formation, managing schedules and registrations, supporting catechists and volunteers, communicating with families, assisting with sacramental preparation, coordinating parish activities, and maintaining records. The role requires collaboration with the pastor and parish staff, commitment to Catholic teachings, confidentiality, background screening, and occasional physical handling of materials.

Provides sacred music for weekend and weekday Masses, Holy Days, funerals, weddings, and other liturgical events. Manages the parish sacred music program, prepares liturgical materials, supports Catholic ministry, participates in religious training and ceremonies, and ensures readiness before services. Requires proficiency with keyboard or guitar and vocals, knowledge of Catholic worship and liturgy, a Texas driver’s license, background screening, and Safe Environment training.

Leads the parish religious education program for youth in Pre-K3 through fifth grade, including sacrament preparation and vacation Bible school. Develops and evaluates programming, coordinates schedules and databases, recruits and trains volunteers, builds relationships with youth and families, manages communications and the department budget, and ensures instruction aligns with Catholic teachings and diocesan policies.

Supports parish religious education and faith formation programs through office coverage, family assistance, communications, attendance follow-up, sacramental record processing, data entry, and event support. The role answers phones and emails, assists walk-in families, maintains confidential ministry records, supports parent and catechetical programming, liaises with diocesan offices, and participates in church training and ceremonies. Evening and weekend support may be required.

Provide instructional continuity during teachers’ absences by following lesson plans, delivering curriculum, reinforcing skills, collecting work, and documenting progress. Maintain a positive, respectful, and disciplined classroom while supervising students during transitions, lunch, recess, and campus activities. Support Catholic identity through prayer, Christian values, religious participation, and professional conduct. Complete required screenings and Safe Environment training while following diocesan policies.

Provide individual and small-group reading and math interventions, assess student needs, deliver evidence-based instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Fountas & Pinnell), track student progress, collaborate with teachers and parents, and uphold the Catholic school mission while completing required trainings and background checks.
