Own and modernize PKI and certificate lifecycle systems for automotive products and EV charging. Design authentication and authorization using X.509, mTLS, OAuth2, and OIDC; build shared infrastructure with Kubernetes, service mesh, and workload identity; support secure boot and key management; operate production services through GitOps and observability; document systems and mentor engineers.

Develop and optimize display and touch/input subsystems for Android-based automotive infotainment platforms. Responsibilities include display drivers, graphics compositors, touch and physical-button middleware, performance tuning, hardware bring-up, system debugging, power and backlight features, multi-display synchronization, and collaboration with hardware, UX, and systems teams. The role requires embedded C/C++ development across Linux, QNX, and Android Automotive, plus hardware interface and profiling expertise.

The role establishes engineering standards, directs R&D, resolves complex electrical issues, aligns Rivian and Volkswagen programs, and mentors senior engineers while representing the function in leadership reviews.

Owns electrical architecture and integration for automotive electrical domains, including LV/HV power distribution, wiring harnesses, zonal topology, power modes, fault handling, and interface requirements. Decomposes specifications, negotiates supplier requirements, defines embedded software needs, reviews schematics, and leads validation across SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing. Drives electrical issue resolution, evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures scalable designs across Rivian and Volkswagen programs.

Develop platform-level embedded software and functional safety components for automotive systems. Implement software safety requirements using C, microcontrollers, RTOS, multithreaded and multicore architectures. Evaluate safety concepts and analyses including FMEDA, FTA, and DFA; create verification and validation methods; support subsystem testing; and document safety activities. Collaborate across software, hardware, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to advance safety-critical products from research and development through production.

Lead architecture and development of large-scale agentic systems integrating LLMs into production applications. Define LLM integration strategy, drive cognitive automation roadmap, establish org-wide engineering standards for scalable, observable distributed ML systems, and provide technical leadership across teams and executives.

Develop and validate ECU-level embedded software for infotainment systems: platform bring-up, driver integration, validation feature development, stress/performance testing, manufacturing EOL software, multimedia (camera/display) validation, debugging with hardware tools, and cross-team collaboration and documentation.

Design, implement, and own the display and graphics pipeline for Android and non-Android automotive platforms. Work on SurfaceFlinger, HWC, compositors (Wayland/Weston/OpenWFD), driver integration, multi-display architectures, performance optimization (60FPS+, low latency), SoC display bring-up, and cross-layer debugging with hardware and kernel teams.

Lead and operate ProdOps as senior SRE: coordinate and communicate during high-severity incidents, run blameless post-incident reviews, prioritize and drive systemic action items, verify fixes, build automation and observability (including AI-agent workflows), and grow a lean team while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards.
