Own the navigation and positioning stack for head-worn and body-worn systems. Develop inertial, GNSS, calibration, sensor-fusion, and attitude-estimation solutions; integrate sensors across hardware and embedded software; and build testing, validation, and data-replay infrastructure. Collaborate with perception, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust production navigation in challenging environments. Validate performance through laboratory and field testing against ground truth.

Leads global sourcing strategy for optical and electro-mechanical components, including cameras, displays, cables, connectors, batteries, PCBs, and FPCAs. Manages supplier qualification, negotiations, cost reduction, capacity planning, risk mitigation, approved vendor lists, contracts, and production issue resolution. Partners with manufacturing providers and overseas suppliers to support product roadmaps, quality, delivery, and margin targets.

Own product data and configuration management for hardware programs, including BOMs, engineering changes, revision control, document control, PLM administration, PLM-ERP integration, and traceability. Generate metrics on change cycle time, configuration status, and data quality.

Own EMI/EMC design, troubleshooting, testing, and compliance for ruggedized hardware systems. Lead MIL-STD-461G/H and FCC Part 15 compliance, review PCB and mechanical designs, resolve subsystem and system-level interference issues, establish test strategies, and collaborate with electrical, RF, mechanical, firmware, systems, manufacturing, ODM, and certification teams.

Builds and manages technology and industry partnerships from sourcing through integration, deployment, and expansion. Evaluates partner capabilities, strategic fit, customer demand, integration complexity, and business value. Coordinates engineering, product, commercial, and customer stakeholders to develop integrated solutions, accelerate deployments, and create new business opportunities. Serves as the primary owner of strategic partnerships, ensuring alignment on objectives, timelines, responsibilities, and outcomes.

Develop and maintain low-level Android and Linux platform software for rugged, body-worn defense devices. Responsibilities include Linux kernel, BSP, AOSP, HAL, driver, board bring-up, hardware integration, secure boot, power and thermal optimization, system debugging, automated testing, and hardware-in-the-loop validation. Collaborate with hardware, electrical, mechanical, sensor-fusion, and systems engineers to deliver reliable platform software across custom hardware configurations.

Design and validate electrical subsystems for ruggedized, mass-produced devices. Responsibilities include schematic capture, constraint-driven PCB layout, embedded communications, sensor integration, hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and ensuring signal integrity, reliability, manufacturability, and compact form factors. The Reliability Engineer defines reliability requirements, characterizes stresses, conducts FMEA, develops accelerated life tests, and owns validation across the product lifecycle. They investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, apply statistical methods and DOE, create test plans and reports, and partner with hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product reliability and meet industry and government standards.

Research and develop computer vision, sensor fusion, pose estimation, and machine learning solutions for imaging and embedded applications. Build prototypes and end-to-end pipelines in Python and C++, optimize models for real-time edge deployment, and implement MLOps practices for monitoring, versioning, and CI/CD. Evaluate novel algorithms against current research, develop preprocessing and augmentation workflows, and transition validated concepts toward production.

Design and validate power-management and battery systems for rugged, mission-critical devices. Responsibilities include developing DC-DC converters, integrating battery management systems, optimizing power delivery, meeting safety and certification requirements, debugging hardware with electrical test equipment, and supporting product integration and manufacturability. The role also involves leading power hardware designs technically and independently managing projects.

Develop real-time perception software for SLAM and visual-inertial odometry by fusing camera and IMU data. Build structure-from-motion, sensor calibration, synchronization, and 3D reconstruction pipelines; evaluate algorithms on benchmarks and real-world datasets; and integrate perception outputs into autonomy and collaborative mapping systems. Collaborate with hardware, robotics, and platform teams to deliver production-ready systems on embedded and edge devices, including metrics, testing frameworks, optimization, and deployment strategies.

Develop real-time computer vision, tracking, perception, localization, motion estimation, and stability systems for wearable AR devices. Build and optimize C++ and C# applications on Android and embedded Linux edge platforms, integrate OpenXR runtimes, and create Android companion services. Prototype with Python and machine learning frameworks, optimize vision models for edge deployment, develop validation tooling, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, graphics, backend, and product teams.

Develop real-time sensor fusion and tracking systems for AR/XR devices on Android and embedded Linux. Build C++ and C# pipelines integrating IMUs, cameras, depth sensors, and OpenXR runtimes; optimize latency, synchronization, stability, and resource usage. Create Android services in Java/Kotlin and Python tooling for simulation, testing, automation, and CI. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, perception, graphics, and backend teams to ship reliable spatial computing capabilities.

Leads customer deployments of integrated hardware and software systems across government and industrial organizations.
