Develop software infrastructure for intelligent robots, including networking, communication, data collection, telemetry, observability, deployment tooling, debugging, and teleoperation support. Contribute to robot bring-up and field testing, troubleshoot issues across software layers, and collaborate with perception, control, and machine learning engineers to maintain reliable onboard systems and high-quality training data.

Drive product requirements and development for robot data collection systems. Coordinate hardware and software work across sensing, calibration, synchronization, and system integration; track technical issues, validation, schedules, and delivery; and collaborate with research, data, and global engineering teams. The role may begin as an internship with an opportunity to transition to full-time after graduation.

Own Rhoda AI’s social media strategy and daily presence across X, LinkedIn, and other platforms. Grow the company’s audience, develop its voice, translate technical research and robot demonstrations into compelling content, lead social campaigns, coordinate multimedia production, and optimize performance through experimentation and analytics.

Design user experiences and interfaces for operating, monitoring, and interacting with deployed robots. Create fleet dashboards, user journeys, wireframes, interaction designs, high-fidelity visuals, and developer handoffs. Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams; address complex workflows, edge cases, safety considerations, and real-time data. Establish Rhoda’s visual design system, design processes, and quality standards as its first dedicated UI designer.

Own operational readiness, supplier coordination, hardware ramp planning, certification, compliance, and scale-up execution from prototype builds through high-volume production. Coordinate engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial launch teams while managing production metrics, supplier scorecards, readiness reviews, quality standards, process controls, and factory capacity risks.

Develop automated test frameworks and hardware-in-the-loop validation environments for robotic hardware, firmware, and software. Reproduce multidisciplinary failures, maintain requirements-to-results traceability, generate reliability and performance data, and support root-cause analysis and product readiness decisions.

Lead technical data programs from pilot through production and delivery for intelligent robotics. Translate requirements into plans, milestones, dependencies, and timelines; coordinate Research, Engineering, Hardware, Software, Data Infrastructure, Operations, and vendors; manage risks and blockers; establish dashboards and operating cadences; and ensure data delivery meets schedule, quality, and scale requirements.

Own the reliability engineering discipline for generalist industrial robots. Develop mission profiles, duty-cycle models, acceleration factors, sample sizes, and pass/fail criteria for accelerated testing. Lead FMEA/FMECA, quantitative reliability modeling, and failure analysis across electromechanical systems including actuators, motors, power electronics, and structures. Partner with design and test engineers to drive root-cause fixes, establish reliability data infrastructure, and track product reliability from prototype through production.

Design compact motor-gearbox actuators for robot hands from concept through production. Architect miniaturized geartrains (especially planetary), size/select motors, run bench and dyno tests, and collaborate on packaging, thermal, drive, and sensing integration.

Manage procurement for New Product Introduction: source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, expedite POs, handle ECNs, monitor inventory and on-time delivery, reduce cost/lead time/risk, and collaborate with engineering to protect build schedules.

Design, build, and operate dynos, gear rigs, cooling benches, and durability fixtures to characterize motors and actuators. Define DAQ architecture, run high-throughput tests, ensure data integrity, and partner with modeling and design teams to validate performance and durability.

Lead AI system safety assurance for humanoid robots: perform STPA/FMEA hazard analyses, assess model-update risks, define AI safety requirements (inputs, confidence, OOD), develop V&V test cases, deploy validation cells, maintain traceability, and produce evidence packages for certification.

Design and deliver mechanical actuator components (motors, gear trains, housings) from concept through production. Create high-fidelity CAD and engineering drawings with GD&T, perform tolerance stack-ups, collaborate with modeling and test teams to define test plans, coordinate suppliers and RFQs, support characterization and iterative design, and ensure manufacturability, cost, and reliability for high-cycle electromechanical systems.

Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, manage build artifact storage, operate cloud and GPU clusters, enhance MLOps training/deployment and observability, and harden security and multi-tenancy for robot infrastructure.

Lead end-to-end mechanical design of a humanoid robot upper arm, including shoulder and elbow structures, interfaces to torso and lower arm, actuator integration, electrical packaging, harness routing, and thermal design. Drive FMEAs, validation and durability testing, CAD models, drawings, BOMs, prototype builds, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating cross-functionally to close interfaces and iterate from test results.

Own the end-to-end partner platform for Rhoda's robot foundation models: define APIs, tooling, integration boundaries, partner qualification, developer experience, documentation, and roadmap while working directly with partner engineering teams.

Translate customer use cases into deployed robotic solutions: scope projects, design and prototype grippers/EOAT and fixtures, validate work-cells, debug systems, and collaborate on AI model deployment and data-collection strategies to drive robust field performance.

Build and operate cloud infrastructure powering data collection, robot field operations, and model training. Ensure reliability, low latency, and scalability across databases, object storage, compute, and backend services; develop observability, debug production incidents, and collaborate with research and robotics teams.

Lead system-level safety for humanoid robots: perform hazard analyses and risk assessments, derive functional and technical safety requirements, design fail-safe and degraded-mode behaviors, develop V&V test cases, and deploy system safety validation equipment at HIL, SIL, and system levels.

Develop and maintain real-time perception pipelines for humanoid robots: sensor integration and calibration, object detection/tracking, low-latency streaming to models and teleop, safety-certified perception, field bring-up, and reliability/fault recovery.
