Directs architecture, design, and development of enterprise retail backend platforms, including microservices, APIs, middleware, checkout, transaction processing, and data synchronization systems. Establishes enterprise architecture standards and leads secure payment integration architecture. Oversees distributed, event-driven, scalable systems and mentors senior engineers while driving cross-functional initiatives across product, operations, and infrastructure.

Design intuitive UI/UX experiences for web, tablet, mobile, kiosk, POS, and digital applications. Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, prototypes, design systems, and development-ready designs in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Support user testing, developer handoff, design QA, branding, presentations, marketing graphics, and iterative improvements. Apply accessibility, responsive design, graphic design, and AI-assisted workflows throughout discovery and delivery.

Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable, distributed Java backend systems. Implement microservices with Spring Boot, optimize databases and caching, design batch and messaging pipelines, troubleshoot performance issues, mentor engineering teams, and drive DevOps/CI-CD and monitoring best practices across product lines.

Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, build and integrate RESTful APIs, work with relational databases and messaging systems, write clean code and unit tests, debug production issues, collaborate with senior engineers, and use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity.
