Own People Operations for a growing AI research lab, including compensation and leveling, performance reviews, onboarding and offboarding, immigration, benefits, employment compliance, employee relations, and international EOR arrangements. Build scalable policies, systems, and processes across Tokyo and San Francisco while partnering with leadership, recruiters, operations, and legal counsel.

Own full-cycle technical and G&A recruiting, including sourcing, candidate engagement, interview coordination, offers, negotiations, and closing. Build recruiting processes, intake and evaluation standards, candidate experience practices, job postings, immigration handoffs, and Ashby reporting. Recruit AI/ML researchers, engineers, scientists, and operators while establishing the company’s recruiting function and maintaining accurate pipeline metrics.

Supports leadership with executive presentations, financial and operating models, market and strategic research, partnership and acquisition evaluations, compliance and governance coordination, and high-priority special projects. The role requires solving ambiguous business problems, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, creating actionable recommendations, and driving initiatives from analysis through execution across an early-stage AI and life sciences company.
