The role includes qualifying as a reactor operator, supporting control algorithm development, participating in design reviews, ensuring DOE and NRC compliance, and building a technical team. The position is fully onsite in El Segundo and requires 50–60% travel, extended hours, and weekends as needed.

Administer Teamcenter and NX, including user access, engineering support, deployments, upgrades, testing, licensing, documentation, training, vendor coordination, CAD configuration, templates, libraries, and organizational standards. Develop and influence legislation, regulations, rulemakings, executive actions, permitting, grid interconnection, and infrastructure policies. Represent the company before regulators, public utility commissions, policymakers, and industry forums. Manage external lobbyists and advisors, coordinate with technical and business teams, provide policy guidance to leadership, and ensure compliance with lobbying, ethics, and disclosure requirements.

Owns state and local permitting for transporting and deploying portable nuclear microreactors at customer sites. Responsibilities include preparing applications, managing contractors and consultants, coordinating with regulatory, engineering, legal, operations, and community teams, tracking approvals and risks, supporting site selection and policy efforts, and developing repeatable permitting processes. Requires expertise in zoning, siting, environmental review, construction permits, and highly regulated infrastructure projects.

Leads Radiant’s congressional strategy and government affairs efforts to secure authorization, appropriations, procurement, and policy support for advanced nuclear microreactor deployments. Builds relationships with Congress, committee staff, government stakeholders, consultants, and industry partners; tracks legislative cycles; prepares policy and briefing materials; translates technical capabilities into legislative objectives; supports executives and cross-functional teams; and ensures lobbying, ethics, and disclosure compliance.

Designs and develops critical reactor structures, including shielding, container, graphite, and metallic systems. Performs trade studies, material selection, thermomechanical and dynamic structural analyses using hand calculations and finite element tools.
