Lead R2’s Dutch and Belgian legal and compliance work for its European fintech launch. Responsibilities include entity incorporation and governance, financing and partner contracts, licensing and payments advice, data protection, collections enforceability, banking onboarding, external counsel management, and regulatory compliance. The role partners with product, finance, compliance, and operations teams and supports future EU expansion. Dutch admission, Dutch and English fluency, fintech or financial-services experience, lending and GDPR expertise, and at least seven years’ PQE are required.

Own a complex fintech product domain end to end, defining strategy, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes. Partner with Engineering, Data, Risk, Commercial, Legal, and Operations teams to deliver scalable credit, payments, platform, or partner-integration products. Drive discovery, prioritization, experimentation, regulatory alignment, partner relationships, and post-launch optimization while influencing senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Act as the technical bridge between R2 and partner platforms to design, implement, and maintain integrations. Build APIs, ETL, and data pipelines; access live partner data to optimize decisioning; debug production systems; produce deployment playbooks, access protocols, and documentation; collaborate with product, data science, and backend teams to scale secure fintech integrations across Latin America.

Lead platform architecture and implementation across services: design scalable APIs (REST/gRPC), event-driven systems, CDC pipelines, observability (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus), containerized deployments, full-text search, and financial-grade systems. Mentor engineers, drive reliability standards, champion trunk-based development and feature flags, and deliver mission-critical, low-latency services.
