Designs, develops, evaluates, and maintains machine learning and statistical models, analytics pipelines, and data-driven products. The role includes experimentation, KPI communication, requirements engineering, prototyping, and solving ambiguous business problems. The Data Scientist partners with engineering and business teams to optimize EV charging operations, pricing, customer behavior, and grid efficiency. Strong Python, statistical modeling, forecasting, and communication skills are required; experience with ML productization, monitoring, and geospatial data is preferred.

Design and implement backend services and serverless code in Python and Rust. Contribute to scalable distributed-system architecture, cloud infrastructure, testing, observability, resilience, security, and partner integrations. Participate in code reviews, planning, and backend maintenance while collaborating in an interdisciplinary startup environment.

Lead a 6-8 person cross-disciplinary embedded team to deliver AC charging stations from firmware through production. Own quarterly delivery, firmware release train, certification and compliance (Eichrecht, CE, EMC), vendor and contract-manufacturer relationships, production readiness and incident response, and develop tech leads to reduce bus factor.
